Peaceful site in picturesque setting, between Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater.
Panoramic Views of surrounding fells, including Skiddaw, Barrow, Seat How and Lord's Seat.
Superb walks / cycle rides directly from site; such as Grisedale Pike and The Coledale Round. Whinlatter Forest, can be reached on foot, or by bicycle, from the site. The C2C cycle route passes our door.
We have several glamping options on site, which provide an alternative to a tent, especially on wet days!
The SHEPHERDS' HUT which sleeps 2 comfortably. It has its own space on site, with views of Skiddaw and Barrow.
Two standard camping PODS which are situated on the Meadowfield, and also sleep two comfortably. We also have a FAMILY POD. It can sleep two adults and two children. It is proving very popular. We are on Facebook. Check out our Facebook page

All the attractions of the Northern Lakes are within easy reach of Lanefoot Farm Campsite. The high wire adventure course 'Go Ape' is located in Whinlatter Forest.
The Altura and Quercus Trails - the only purpose built mountain bike trails in the Lake District - are located in Whinlatter Forest. The Campsite lies on the C2C cycle route. The Ospreys nest across the valley from Lanefoot Farm, and may be seen from the Campsite. Derwentwater offers watersports facilities, and fishing, and is less than 2 miles away. Braithwaite village is half a mile up the road, and has 3 good family run pubs.
Keswick is less than 3 miles away, and has all the facilities of a small town.
There are numerous pubs, restaurants, and outdoor clothing shops.
Plus, there is a lovely cinema, and the excellent 'Theatre by the Lake'.
We are between the villages of Braithwaite and Thornthwaite, approximately 2 miles from Keswick. From the M6 motorway, take the Penrith junction, and head towards Keswick on the A66 trunk road. Keep going past the Keswick turns. Pass the Portinscale turn and the Braithwaite turn. Take the next turn on the left, signposted Thornthwaite. Follow for approximately 1/2 mile, with the road going downhill. At the bottom of the hill, lookout for the 'Campsite' sign on left, and turn left. Please pull up at the white Farmhouse on arrival.
