We are between the villages of Braithwaite and Thornthwaite, approximately 2 miles from Keswick. From the M6 motorway, take the Penrith junction, and head towards Keswick on the A66 trunk road. Keep going past the Keswick turns. Pass the Portinscale turn and the Braithwaite turn. Take the next turn on the left, signposted Thornthwaite. Follow for approximately 1/2 mile, with the road going downhill. At the bottom of the hill, lookout for the 'Campsite' sign on left, and turn left. Please pull up at the white Farmhouse on arrival.
All the attractions of the Northern Lakes are within easy reach of Lanefoot Farm Campsite. The high wire adventure course 'Go Ape' is located in Whinlatter Forest.
The Altura and Quercus Trails - the only purpose built mountain bike trails in the Lake District - are located in Whinlatter Forest. The Campsite lies on the C2C cycle route.
