Welcome to Greets Farm Campsite - peaceful, adults-only camping in the heart of North Yorkshire.

Tucked away on our small family farm in the stunning Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Greets Farm Campsite is a level, two-acre certificated site offering tranquillity, space and spectacular countryside views - with the added bonus of being just a mile`s easy stroll from the charming village of Welburn.

Our adults-only site has been welcoming guests for over 15 years and is ideal for those seeking peace, fresh air and a slower pace of life. Visitors love the rural farm feel - sheep grazing in neighbouring fields and views stretching towards Castle Howard in the distance - yet without feeling cut off from good food, local attractions and excellent transport links.

A pleasant stroll takes you to Welburn`s friendly, dog-welcoming pub, The Crown & Cushion, and the much-loved artisan bakery and cafe, Dogh - perfect for a morning coffee and warm pastries. Many guests make this part of their daily routine when staying with us.

Just three miles away stands magnificent Castle Howard, famously featured as a location for many films and television programmes such a Bridgerton.

The surrounding Howardian Hills are criss-crossed with footpaths and bridleways, linking picturesque villages such as Terrington - home to the Yorkshire Lavender Farm.

The thriving market town of Malton - known as Yorkshire`s food capital - is just five miles away, packed with independent shops, eateries and food events. On its outskirts you`ll find the award-winning Eden Camp Modern History Museum, set on a former prisoner-of-war camp it offers a unique stepback in time.

For a change of pace, the historic city of York lies only 13 miles away. Many campers take advantage of the excellent Yorkshire Coastliner service from the nearby bus stop - allowing you to enjoy lunch (and perhaps a glass of wine) within York`s ancient city walls without the worry of parking or traffic.

The North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast are also within easy reach for memorable day trips.

The Site

• Level two-acre grass field with far-reaching views
• Four electric hook-up points
• Easy access via a stoned track - no tricky reversing required
• Two toilets, one shower, Chemical Disposal Point (CDP) and a well-maintained potwash area
• Walking maps, bus timetables and local information always available
• Single campers warmly welcomed (£5 reduction in site fees)
• Well-behaved dogs (maximum two) welcome on leads

Owner Directions

Travelling on A64 from York in Malton direction. Turn left - signed Welburn and Castle Howard - where road goes from dual to single carriageway. After approx. 500 yards there is the `equine entrance` for a vet`s practice on left. Don`t turn here, but start indicating left. Take next left - adjacent to vet`s `small animal` entrance - up tarmac road with camping signs at bottom.

We live at stone farmhouse at top of tarmac lane. Take green lane to the side of house gate, past stables and up slight slope into field. Please help yourselves. Electric hook-up on left of field and facilities can be found through handgate in bottom corner.

Please note: Three small steps down from field to the washroom facilities, so sadly not suitable for wheelchair users.
