Even though this site is located just half a mile from the market town of Barnard Castle, Teesdale Barnard Castle Club site is set in open countryside that is designated an Area of High Landscape Value. Barnard Castle is a delightful town, home to the renowned Bowes Museum, a 12thC castle, an excellent visitor centre and a choice of pubs and restaurants.

Barnard Castle also marks the entrance to Teesdale which offers spectacular scenery following the river up to High Force and a series of other waterfalls to its source beyond the Pennine Way and Cow Green Reservoir.

The valley of Teesdale is prime walking and cycling country for those that love the outdoors, offering a wide variety of terrains to suit all abilities. Enjoy walks along the Teesdale Way, or shorter walks in the local area. For the less energetic, there are many places of interest nearby. The area's main asset is its unspoilt tranquillity.

A mobile fish and chip van visits this site, please ask the site staff for details.

This site is exclusive to Caravan and Motorhome Club members - if you would like to join please visit www.camc.com or speak with the wardens or call the Caravan and Motorhome Club Membership Enquiries line on 01342 318813.
