Budle Bay Campsite is a rural/coastal campsite accommodating touring caravans, motor homes, campervans, trailer tents and tents on grass and hard standing pitches. It also has two basic bunkhouses, 12 cabin's and a large children's play area. We are mostly a grass site though we also have 35+ hard standing plus grass re-enforced pitches. This always us to welcome guests all year round. One of the hard standings is over 10m long so we can take long units. We have a stream running alongside the campsite and guests can choice a riverside pitch (subject to availability). All but a few pitches have electric hook ups. The average pitch size on site is 8m wide and 8m long though we have a few smaller pitches for small tents and larger pitches for the bigger units.
We have added to the variety of cabins we have by extending and updating 4 of our original stock of cabins so that they now have a large sleeping platform to the rear, which could 3 adults or be used by a couple, as well as still having 2 full sized single beds in the original sleeping area. In addition we have 5 bigger huts which have commanding view of our beautiful river valley. 2 of these larger cabins are for couples and come with a double bed and space for travel cots and the like. The remaining 3 are unique in that they have a separate double bedroom from the bunk bed sleeping area to allow privacy for a couple. These cabins can sleep up to 7 if both double beds are utilized to sleep 2 people. We do allow dogs in several of them. There is a cooking hut for the sole use of those using the huts. Each cabin have full sized beds, electric sockets,a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and are fully insulated. Being spacious they suit those who enjoying camping but with more comforts and weather protection than a tent provides. Also being full height throught, their isn't any head room issues. Simply bring your own bedding, cooking and eating utensils plus food and enjoy your stay whatever the weather. We are open throughout Christmas and the New Year too.
