Situated in the glorious North York Moors National Park we are a family run camping and caravan-park with 30 grass pitches with electric hook-ups in beautiful North Yorkshire. A spacious site with spectacular views over the Vale of Pickering, we are situated on the southern fringes of the North York Moors, 5 miles north of the market town of Pickering.
Rawcliffe Bank Top Farm sits in the heart of peaceful countryside surrounded by mature woodland. A luxury amenities block with under-floor heating, free showers and separate family and disabled facilities serves our immaculate park. There is also a laundry room with fridge and freezer, a covered washing up area with plenty of hot water and a chemical disposal facility.
With pitches around the periphery of the camping field there is plenty of space for childrens games. There is a separate field with additional electric hook-ups. We welcome dogs but request that they are kept on a lead whilst on site; there is easy access from the park directly onto local woodland walks.
The Moors host plethora of footpaths, cycle routes & mountain bike trails; we are a 40-min drive from the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough; the historic city of York is less than an hours drive.
Newton-upon-Rawcliffe, a mile away has a duck pond and village green. It sits close to the stunning valley of Newton Dale, near Pickering. Nearby are the fascinating and mysterious earthworks of Cawthorn Roman Camps and the Roman road 'Wade's Causeway'.
Local attractions suit a wide variety of interests and keep all age groups busy for days; all lie within a comfortable 30-minute drive:
Cropton Forest Dalby Forest Castle Howard NYM Heritage Railway Eden Camp Flamingo Land Helmsley Walled Garden/Castle Rievaulx Abbey Nunnington Hall Lavender Farm Cropton Brewery National Centre Birds of Prey Scampston Hall.…to name but a few!
From Pickering take the road past the railway station that goes through Newton on Rawcliffe. Continue through the village for 1 mile until you reach a junction. Turn left towards Cropton; we are just on the RHS as marked by a green sign.
From A170 (Thirsk) turn left at Wrelton and head to Cropton (3 Miles). Turn right just past The New Inn and follow the road for 3 miles. Look out for our green sign on the LHS. If you reach the junction for Stape you have gone too far.
