We are currently closed Opening Dates this year: 12/03/2021 to 26/09/2021
We are a famly run park and we have created the sort of place we would like to visit, we hope you will feel the same.
We accommodate caravans, tents and motor homes, there is also a shepherds hut for hire.
Fitted out with a 5 foot x 6 foot bed, microwave, kettle, toaster, radio and crockery. please phone for more details. Please note pets, candles and smoking are not allowed inside the Shepherds hut.
The main building on the field has the ladies and gents toilets, washbasins and showers, electric sockets for hairdryers and two shaver sockets in the gents. There is an indoor room with two sinks for washing dishes and vegetable preparation, also tourist information. There is a separate room for anyone who is less able bodied, and it consists of a normal height toilet, a low-level washbasin and mirror, there are handrails by the washbasin and toilet. Free hot water is available for showers and dishwashing. Electric hook-ups are 10amp, some pitches are hard standing.
The play/games field, which is just off the main field, is ideal for ball games and consists of three acres of mown grass, but please note there is no play equipment in this field.
We have planted trees & created a very popular walk along the edge of our farm field. Visitors are welcome to exercise their dog along this area, which is just across the road.
Dogs are welcome if approved by the management.
Three minutes walk along Mill Lane there is a mini supermarket & Post Office, the Board Inn provides bar meals and there is a hairdresser. On the edge of the village there is an ice cream parlour and tearoom. Twelve minutes walk in the other direction gives you a view of the sea; there are also fish & chips and amusements.
There is a bus service from Skipsea to Hornsea, Driffield and Bridlington. Train services at Bridlingon.
Nearby Attractions
Skipsea castle (motte & bailey) the castle dates from 1086, and was built on an Iron age mound, (earth works only). All St Church site dates from 1090 completely rebuilt in the c14. village pub and shop. Golf course & pond fishing near by
Hornsea Mere & boat hire. leisure centre, Freeport. Honeysuckle Animal Farm & folk museum. The old railway line between Hornsea & Hull is now part of the Trans Pennine Trail.
Bridlington- Magnificent harbour, boat trips. Old town Priory & Bayle Gate museum. Sewerby Hall Gardens & golf courses.
Flambough Head- outstanding views & coastal walks.
Bempton- RSPB site.
Skirlinton- large Sunday market.
Driffield- market day Thursday & Farmers Market 1st Saturday of the month
Beverley- Minster & St Marys church, Saturday market.
