Due to the covid-19 continued lockdown, we have delayed accepting bookings until March, when we hopefully will know when our park can open for this season.
16 acres of level parkland with mature trees and a meandering river on the shore of Wales' largest natural lake in the southern area of the Snowdonia National Park. There are magnificent views of nearby hills and mountains and a large launching area for sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing.
For children, there is a safe enclosed playground also pottering around in the river & lake is as good a pastime as any. Inflatables allowed on the lake and river but buoyancy aids must be worn. Glanllyn Bay is a safe, shallow bay for children to learn to canoe, sail and stand-up paddleboard.
There is a small camp shop & tourist information area, a laundrette & dishwashing area and excellent heated toilet & shower facilities. Wifi available (not free). There are level hardstanding and grass pitches, most with electric hook-up.
The small market town of Bala is 3 miles away with plenty of small shops, pubs & retaurants, cinema and a leisure centre with swimming pool. There is a foot/bike path from our park to Bala also on a busroute with a bus stop at our entrance gates.
The mountain ranges of Arans, Arenigs, Berwyns and Cader Idris are all close by with an abundance of walking rouptes. The beautiful beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne, Harlech and Black Rock Sands are all within 45 minutes by car.
Local attractions and advertures include White Water Rafting, Abseiling, Gorge Walking, Mountain Biking, Zip Forest and Zip Wire, Great Little Trains of North/Mid Wales, Castles and beautiful gardens.
The Bala lake narrow guage railway offers a 4 mile scenic run alongside the lake.
The National Whitewater Centre for rafting & canoeing is 5 miles away.
There is a golf course and a sailing club near Bala
The Coed y Brenin Forest Centre for mountain biking is 20 minutes away.
Bala Adventure & Watersports Centre offers a host of activities and courses.
Green Dragon Activities and Bala Adventure and Watersports Centre offer hire/tuition for Stand-up Paddleboarding, canoeing and sailing.
Other local activities include paintballing, Zip Wire, Bounce Below, slate mines, canyoning, abseiling, gorge walking
The beautiful beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Harlech are within 45 minutes by car.
