Opening Dates this year: 28/05/2021 to 02/09/2021
Fish Pond's Bottom is a different camping experience, a place to get away from it all to enjoy the countryside, a 'real' campers site. It is very quiet and peaceful. The site is full of wildlife with badgers and deer visiting regularly. We have piles of sticks as bug hotels for the insects, frogs and toads.
Star gazing is recommended and a full moon is magical. The dawn chorus is splendid!
We have spacious individual pitches in either pasture or woodland over a 3 1/2 acre site. Our site is not suitable for large 6 man tents.
We are keen environmentalists and all facilities at Fish Ponds Bottom reflect this. We ask our campers to recycle ALL their rubbish and to think about what you bring on site and whether it can be recycled.
We have no children's play area but the open Forest is outside the gate with plenty of room to run and play.
We ask for quiet between 23:00 and 09:00 and do not allow music.
Our facilities are basic. We have a NEW hot outdoor shower (but don't worry it is private). We offer a sink with cold water for washing up, two compost loos,(one each for ladies and gents). PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY ON SITE.
We allow camp fires by prior arrangement only. Logs, kindling and local lumpwood charcoal for sale on site.
Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep on a short lead at all times whilst on site. No extendable leads please. There is plenty of space to run in the Forest just out of the gate. We provide bags and poo bin.
The nearest train stop is Ashurst.
