Pitches: 5 Vans, tents and 3 glamping pods
Opening Dates: Open All Year
Poplars Farm site is a small, adult only campsite nestled in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales with panoramic, far- reaching views. The site is open all the year round and visitors relax and unwind in the peaceful site with the changing seasons.
The site has space for 5 caravans or motorhomes, 6 tents and 3 glamping pods.
Each caravan pitch benefits from hard-standing with grass around. Of the 6 tent pitches, two have electric hook up.
The glamping pods accommodate 2 adults in each, all bedding provided. In Ash and Willow, choose to have twin beds or a double bed, whilst Hazel, the dog-friendly pod, has a double bed. It is easy to see why this type of holidaying has become so popular, as it allows the camping experience whilst negating some of the drawbacks of the English weather and the over-loaded car.
Each pod has a heater, TV, kettle, fridge and cutlery/crockery.
Dogs are also very welcome in the vans and tents and they benefit from the 10 acre site and the dog walk.
Access to the site is very good and does not cause any difficulty for larger vehicles.
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the site, there is a quiet after 11pm policy.
The site is within easy reach of Carsington Water (2 miles), Ashbourne, the Peak District and many other attractions. We are also on a bus route with stops directly outside the site.
Within 1 mile: shop, 2 pubs, pleasant walks to Biggin and towards Kirk Ireton etc.
Within 2 miles: Carsington Water
Within 6 miles: Ashbourne, Belper, Wirksworth, Tissington Trail and bike hire
Within 10 miles: Matlock, Matlock Bath, Crich Tramway Museum, Cromford Canal and Mill Visitor Centre
Within 20 miles: Chatsworth, Bakewell, Dovedale, Buxton, Thorpe Cloud, Milldale, Beresford Dale, Monsal Dale and Trail, Elvaston Castle, Alton Towers, Hartington, Edale
