Description

Springfield Park is a friendly family run campsite catering for TENTS ONLY.

Please note that we DO NOT accept caravans.

The campsite is situated within a mature plot of land, with a large beautifully kept field thats surrounded by trees. We tend to limit the the number of tents to a maximum of around 50 at any one time and therefore we feel this results in a true outdoor experience.

Please read the important notice at the bottom of this page with regards to our Alcohol Premises License Rules.

From the owner: "I have personally always believed that camping should feel special... back to nature... and to achieve this, a campsite must have certain ingredients to make it perfect, namely:"

- Allocated Fire-pit areas where you can socialise or just stare at the stars
- Lots of space so you're not on top of each other,
- When groups book - they stay as a group,
- Friendly campsite staff who will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible…
- Feeling the outdoors is great, but... nice facilities is better.

And.. this what we have tried to achieve for you here.

We are pleased to offer two amazing experiences onsite with the Archery and Air Rifle Shooting. If you have never tried these - Its amazingly fun!!!

Springfield Park has been described as being quite "RUSTIC". It offers the "proper" camping experience to campers. The grounds are amazingly kept with two grounds men regularly cutting the grass, pruning the trees back and making the whole place look very natural. The site is surrounded by 400 acres of land with plenty of walkways & fields

For prices and more information please visit our website

IMPORTANT (please read carefully)- NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ARE TO BE BROUGHT ONSITE due to licensing restrictions placed by the Council. Only alcohol purchased from Springfield Bar may be consumed on site. Last orders are at 2am on the Friday & Saturday and 11am all other days.

Please DO NOT bring alcoholic drinks onsite as we will have no alternative but to refuse entry. If you are found to be ignoring this rule which has been placed on us by the council and police, you will be asked to leave. Anyway... COLD drinks from the bar are so much nicer..

Nearby Attractions

St Albans, Hertfordshire's only city, has been welcoming visitors from far afield for over 2,000 years. The magnificent Cathedral still dominates the skyline of the city and is best known for the shrine of St Alban and its medieval wall paintings. Beyond the Cathedral you can relax in the green oasis of Verulamium Park, 100 acres of tranquil parkland close to the heart of the city and the architectural heritage of St Michael's village and Fishpool Street.

Local Attractions:

St Albans has a wealth of attractions and plenty to see and do. Below is a list of but a very few of the attractions.
* Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban
* The de Havilland Aircraft Heritage
* Roman Theatre
* Willow Farm Village
And much much more....

Directions

Springfield Park is located off Ventura Park Industrial Estate. Once you turn into the industrial estate, drive straight for about 150 yards and as the road bends 90 degrees to the left, stop your car: you will see a bridleway right in front of you with a 'Private road. No access' signpost.

Drive onto this private road, over the railway bridge and keep to the left. Follow this road to the very end where you will see a large manor house. Please park up in the car park to the right and call us. A member of staff will come and show you around.
