Hele Valley is a family run award winning holiday park offering peace and tranquility at the heart of North Devon. Established since 1972 and the only camping park in Ilfracombe, family members and local staff are here to ensure you receive the warmest of welcomes and the best attention during your stay.
Hele Valley offers the perfect holiday choice in beautiful cottages, stunning lodges, luxury caravans and sheltered camping & touring (including cedar pods) and we now have WiFi covering the whole of the Holiday Park.
Our flat sheltered grass and hardstanding pitches for camping, motorhomes and touring caravans are available in both 8 meters and 12 meters; with electric hook-up if required. Most pitches also have their own water supply.
A modern facilities block offers all the usual facilities, including FREE hot showers, flush toilets, razor points, and hairdryers; together with a gently sloping ramp for disabled visitors. Additionally we offer an indoor washing up area and a family room with baby bath.
A recent addition to the park is the Camping Pod - a wooden 'tent' for all seasons. Just bring your camping gear minus the tent. And there's heating!!
Situated within the beautiful valley of Hele Bay and just a stroll away from local inns, cafes and Hele beach - a perfect location for passing time over a cream tea, ice cream or cold beer whilst the kids(big & small) play in the rock pools.
The charming Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe is just one mile east with many local amenities and boat trips, including HMS Oldenberg that sails regularly to Lundy Island.
Venture further afield for great family attractions, including Exmoor Zoo, Watermouth Castle and the Big Sheep.
Places of interest nearby include RHS Gardens Rosemoor, Broomhill Sculpture Gardens, Clovelly and Woody Bay narrow gauge railway.
North Devon has some of the best UK surfing beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde, and this is only a short hop from the park.
From J27 of the M5 take the A361 to Barnstaple. Once in Barnstaple take the A39 (passing the hospital on the right) to join the A3230 to Ilfracombe. Continue on this road for approximately 12 miles and at the traffic lights turn right to join the A399 towards Combe Martin. Pass Ilfracombe Swimming Baths and Rugby Club on the left to follow the brown Hele Valley signs for approx. 400m to take a very sharp right. (It is advised that long vehicles should continue down the road and turn around first. Continue down to a T-junction and a right turn will take you to Hele Valley Holiday Park.
