Humblescough Farm is a small family farm, situated in the lovely Lancashire countryside.
Our caravan site has two areas. By the wildlife pond there are 5 hardstanding pitches. Each spacious pitch has water and 16 amp electric hookup. There are wonderful views across the water and the surrounding fields and you can see the Bowland Fells in the distance. This area is mainly for suitable for adults. Tucked away by the pond you will also find a Shepherd's Hut with an outdoor kitchen and seating area. This is available for stays of two nights or more (2 persons, sorry no pets.).
The Little Meadow is adjacent to the wildlife pond. The 3 acre meadow has plenty of space for playing games or just relaxing! There are 5 generous-sized hardstanding pitches, each with water and 16 amp electric hookup. There are also grass pitches with electric hookup and access to water.
Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads and exercised off site. A maximum of 2 dogs is permitted.
If you enjoy sitting by a campfire in the evening we supply a bag of wood, kindling and the loan of a fire pit for £8 per night. This should last for the evening but extra bags of wood can be purchased for £5. We do not allow campers to bring their own firepits and wood. This is for heath and safety reason. Wood must be purchased from the farm. Foraging for wood in the hedgerows is not permitted since this damages wildlife habitats.
There is a shower and toilet block and a washing up area. The solar panels on the barn help provide electricity. A chemical waste disposal point is provided, along with a re-cycling area for disposing of rubbish. We are very keen to be as environmentally friendly as possible and hope that people who stay at Humblescough Farm respect this.
Our Information Hut contains brochures and information about local events and places to visit in the area.
Humblescough Farm is a perfect hideaway for a relaxing escape to the countryside and a great place for watching wildlife. There are often amazing sunsets which can be seen from the Little Meadow. The site is dark at night, allowing visitors to enjoy star-gazing on clear nights. (Remember to bring your torch for late night visits to the toilet block!)
You may prefer to spend your time at Humblescough Farm relaxing, walking, cycling or visiting some of the other great places in our area. There are also fishing lakes nearby, boat trips on the canal, clay shooting and a golf course in Garstang.
We can even organise family bushcraft days and woodland birthday parties for children. Please ask us for details.
There are lots of fantastic places to explore in the local area whether you are looking for opportunities for outdoor adventures, observing wildlife, enjoying the culture of the area or trying out the local shopping experiences.
Garstang, the world's first Fairtrade Town, is approximately two miles away and holds a weekly outdoor market on Thursdays. In Garstang you will find supermarkets, an interesting range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, along with lovely walks by the River Wyre and the Lancaster Canal. Within easy travelling distance from our site you can discover historic towns such as Lancaster, charming villages, moorland, fells and the beautiful coastline of Morecambe Bay. For lively seaside fun there is Blackpool which offers a wide range of family entertainment.
