Proctors Stead is a small family run park offering a peaceful stay for those who enjoy beautiful scenery and a wonderful coastline. Our park has level, grassy, sheltered pitches and some hard stands are also available. EHU points (10 amps)are available too. Sorry, we no longer accept tents, trailer tents or folding campers. Facilities include regularly cleaned toilets, washbasins & hot showers (coin operated - 10p for 6 mins). Laundry facilities, dishwashing area;sockets for hairdryers and shaver points provided. Facilities are cleaned and checked regularly. We have free WiFi available on site which reaches all pitches. The family live on site and are therefore on hand at all times to maintain the high standards that benefit everyone staying. Our lovely new log cabin Reception located at the entrance to the park is where you will book in on arrival and also sells a small selection of groceries and dairy goods including Doddington Dairy ice cream. We have an excellent book swap facility and lots of free local information in the form of leaflets and brochures. We are happy to share our local knowledge for walks, places to visit, places to eat and to help with any opening times/events and Lindisfarne crossing times. There is a small village shop 2 miles away and a larger Co-oP about 4.5 miles away. The Cottage Inn pub in Dunstan is within walking distance, as is The Jolly Fisherman in Craster. Both offer really good food and are dog friendly.
Nearby Attractions
Dunstanburgh Castle is within walking distance - approx 1.5 miles over the heughs. Craster and its small but pretty harbour is about 1 mile away - also famous for its Kippers and Seafood Restaurant. Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is a 30 min drive and can be reached via a tidal causeway. Cragside at Rothbury is a short drive over Alnwick Moor - first house powered by electricity.
