South Penquite is a 80 hectare working organic farm situated high on Bodmin Moor between the villages of Blisland and St Breward.
We are a demonstration holding for both the Soil Association and the Westcountry Rivers Trust, and as well as offering camping & a Mongolian Yurt we also have facilities for field studies and opportunities for educational groups and schools to learn about local environment
There is much to do and see on and around the farm which achieved organic status in 2001. As well as running a flock of 400 ewes and a herd of 50 cows the farm is exceptionally rich in archaeological remains and wildlife.
We also have many horses, ponies, chickens and of course our faithful working collies without whose help we could not run the farm.
We are also in a position to offer all guest, campers and visitors an on-farm LPG filling point for their vehicles.
Of course as well as the views there is much to do and see in and around Bodmin Moor. South Penquite is ideally situated for walking, cycling, riding, and exploring Cornwall ~ we are in easy reach of both coasts.
Nowhere in Cornwall is much more than an hours drive and we are about 25 miles from the Eden Project.
Enter Cornwall on the main A30 and drive roughly 20 miles until you see a right turn signposted to St Breward which takes you onto the open moor. Drive down this little road across the moor for about 3 miles ignoring any turns to the left or right and the South Penquite farm lane will come up on your right ~ easy!
Where is the nearest shop to South Penquite Farm? There is a shop within 1 mile
