Cheddar, Mendip Heights Club Site is in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the Mendip Hills. Midway between Cheddar Gorge and Wells, there are many attractions in this area of Somerset and the south west.
Priddy village is half a mile from Site. There are a couple of pubs serving food and an annual Sheep Fair in August.
The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company is the only cheese-making factory actually in Cheddar.
Cheddar Gorge is a spectacular limestone gorge - there are several walks around it, some of which are very challenging.
Choose from 17 different activities at the Avon Ski and Action Centre, including skiing, snowboarding, quad biking, abseiling, power-kiting and clay-pigeon shooting.
The SS Great Britain and the many museums of Bristol are within easy reach.
