At the moment we are only admitting visitors who make reservations prior to arrival, this includes visitors wishing to camp as well as caravans, motorhomes and camper vans.
Our showers, toilets and dishwashing room are open, visitors will be informed when they will be closed for cleaning. Our shop is open for limited periods. All our other facilities including The Hayloft Cafe are closed but we review this at regular intervals.
All NEW facilities for 2019. Larger shop and reception, more toilets and showers, new dish wash area and laundry room. New Campers Kitchen with hob, kettle, toasters and indoor seating. Under floor heating for winter opening.
Drying room for coats and boots. Hard standing pitches with electric and pitches with electricity for tents.
NO charge for showers, awnings or dogs.

The site rule of "Silence after 10.30pm" is in keeping with the wonderful location of this family run site. Castlerigg Farm is 25 min walk down through the woods to Keswick or 25 min walk across the fields to the Castlerigg Stone Circle.
Located in a particular beautiful and quiet part of the Lake District, away from the noise of towns and traffic, an ideal location for walking and relaxing. Exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding fells,the site looks down towards Derwent Water and in the distance Bassenthwaite Lake. A site for families, e.g. mum,dad, and children, singles or couples. Sorry, but due to our 10.30pm Silence rule we do not allow groups. We admit new arrivals between 8am and 9.30pm. Well behaved dogs are welcome without charge. Dogs must be on a lead at all times while in the camping fields but we now have a large Dog Walk area where well behaved dogs can be exercised.
Nearby Attractions
Keswick has many attractions including a Leisure Pool,many bars/restaurants a cinema and the award winning Theatre by the Lake. Cricket, tennis, bowls and miniature golf can be found in the parks. A street market every Saturday with many other events including a Jazz Festival in May,the Real Ale Festival in June and the Keswick Convention in July and August.
Mountain bike trails at Whinlatter Forrest Visitor Centre and high wire adventure course at 'Go Ape'. View the Bassenthwaite Ospreys with Trotters World of Animals in the same area.
A Launch trip around Derwentwater is a must with Discounted tickets available from the site shop. Derwentwater Marina for sailing, wind-surfing and fishing. Other attractions include, The Pencil Museum,Climbing Wall,Golf and Bus and Mining Tours.
Follow the signs for Keswick. Do not enter the town, but take the A591 sign posted Windermere. After approximately 1 mile, nearly at the top of the hill, turn right up the lane, sign posted Castlerigg Farm Campsite. There are 2 sites on the lane, we are located on the LEFT.
