Ashfield Touring Caravan Park & Camping Site is a quiet, friendly, family run camping and caravan site near to York, North Yorkshire.
Our quiet, level 2.5 acre site is set within peaceful rural countryside, yet is only 10 minutes from the centre of York with good 2 good bus services, and a Park & Ride facility close by.
It as also an ideal location for visiting the national parks, coastal resorts and many other tourist attractions of North Yorkshire, most within an hours drive.
We have 40 Caravan / Motorhome / Tent pitches with 16A metered electric hookup. We offer FREE at pitch Wifi for those wanting internet connectivity whilst on holiday.
We have a heated shower/toilet block with separate disabled facilities, laundry/dish washing room,, chemical disposal, and camping kitchen with freezer
We have a small licensed shop onsite providing the basics for your stay with us, and a Costcutter in the village.
There is a Recreation room, children`s play area with adjoining Aussie electric BBQ and picnic area.
We welcome responsible dog owners with up to 2 dogs, but please contact us in advance if you have more four legged friends. At the end of the drive is a quiet country lane leading into woodland, so dog walks are peaceful and enjoyable.
The wooded site has an abundance of bird and wildlife, and the nearby woods have a herd of deer that can often be seen.
A bus stop for buses to York is within 500m of the site, and there is a Park & Ride about a mile away.
The A64 is a busy road in holidays and sunny weekends with many people visiting the coast - Please ask us for alternative routes to avoid traffic.
PLEASE NOTE: We have a security height barrier on the drive - Please STOP and check vehicle height if closed.

Turn off the A64 (York ring road) onto the A1079 signposted to Hull. In 1.5 miles, after the Windmill pub and petrol station, at SECOND signpost to Dunnington, turn left onto Common Road. In about 50 metres turn right into Hagg Lane and the site is on the right hand side in 300 metres.
From Hull
Heading toward York on the A1079 at the FIRST signpost to Dunnington (about 3 miles from York), turn right onto Common Road. In about 50 metres turn right into Hagg Lane and the site is on the right hand side in 300 metres.
