 From coming down the drive way which had a Halloween theme, we knew we had found a first class site. And we were not wrong.
The owners very friendly and welcoming.
Immaculate facilities throughout, with level hard standing pitches and well kept grassed areas.
We couldn't fault this one.
We will definitely be back if we can get a pitch

2nd time vusutjng. Very nice well kept site.
Toilet and shower facilities very clean.
Friendly helpful owners.
Lovely woodland close by for dog walking accessed by a safe country lane. Buses to York at the end of the lane.
Cross Keys pub in nearby village about 20 min walk away.
Would highly recommend.

We love it here and its not our first visit.
The couple who run the site for the owners are lovely and very helpful.
The site is spotless and great toilet /shower facilities.
We will definitely be back again

The site condition and facilities were excellent. Possibly the cleanest and best maintained site we have ever stayed on.
Everything you could need as a camper. The main building had fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave.
Toilet & shower block were excellent. Even an outside but undercover BBQ set-up. Playground for children looked amazing.
The only negative was the camping fields proximity to a busy road, so was quite noisy at night.

Lovely site, very friendly and helpful people, very clean and immaculately kept, easy to find,
Short walk to bus stops for regular buses. A bit longer walk to the local pub 20 mins or so but a bus stops outside.
Would highly recommend.

Great Campsite, well run nr the Village of Dunnington.
Owners & Site wardens are very efficient and extremely helpful & informative.
Buses run right outside the site for trips into York.
Great location for cycling

Great stay, we returned after a top stay last year and as before the facilities are ample and clean,
Lovely big tent field to play in, decent transport links and friendly staff.
Will stay again next year!

This is the best place we've stayed on our two week trip. Every detail has been considered. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave. Showers and toilets were spotless.
The pitches were perfectly level and well spaced from neighbours. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were on our own but could see children enjoying the play area.
There is a little main road noise at night but nothing to disturb a great night's sleep.
It's also worth noting that it's just 5 minutes walk to the bus stop for regular buses into the centre of York £2. 50 each way and takes about 20 minutes.
We'll definitely stay there again.

Second stay at Ashfield after booking it last minute a year ago and it’s one of the cleanest sites I’ve stayed at.
Facilities are excellent and well maintained,
Good location for exploring the city of York or neighbouring villages.
Play park is well maintained and safe.
Owners and staff are very friendly.
Will absolutely return again.

Booked for 2 nights unfortunately due to road closures we only managed one night
What a lovely site! The facilities are well thought out and lovely and clean
The showers were clean and plenty of hot water for 20p
The highlight for me was the Christmas lights going up the driveway
Overall we had a lovely stay and will definitely return in the future

Stayed here as a group in caravans and motorhomes from the West Yorkshire Fire Service Caravan & Camping Club. The park has a rally field but we stayed in the main site on hard standing.
One of the best maintained sites we have used, facilities absolutely first class, toilets and showers were immaculate and well heated.
The site has a social room for guests which was extremely useful for us all to get together during the evening.
There is a shop on site selling essentials and alcohol all at very reasonable prices.
Electricity is metered charged at cost and very simple to use.
Site owners very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Stayed at this lovely site last weekend as part of a Fire Service group.
It’s a small site but very clean with hard standings and electric and reasonably priced.
The owners are very friendly and very helpful.
The toilet and shower block immaculate.
There is a small room that can be used for meetings or gatherings with a small kitchen.
The driveway was lit with many different Xmas decorations a nice welcoming feature.
York about 5miles away but buses and a pub in the village with a few shops and pizza shop plus a bistro.

Lovely site on the outskirts to York.
Great showers and Toilets.
15 min walk into Dunnington to shops and pubs if required.
This was our first motorhome trip so the Guy in charge "Darren" was very helpful trying to sort a couple of our issues out.
Very quiet site, has WI-FI good hook ups etc.
Would definitely stay again
