Greenacres is an award-winning family campsite close to Glastonbury, Wells and Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
We offer idyllic countryside, big pitches, lots of play space, amazing wildlife and a peaceful, get-away-from-it-all holiday, just 40 minutes from the cities of Bristol and Bath.
We were the very first winners of the AA Small Campsite of the Year award and our current AA quality rating (96%) is the highest in the UK at this grade. The Alan Rogers Guide of hand-picked sites describes Greenacres as "a true haven of peace and quiet". We're also one of the select sites featured in the Cool Camping guide for England, with "a safe and comfortable environment for young families to enjoy camping".
The site is flat and easily accessible. There is plenty of space for children to play, with swings and slides etc.

Nearby Attractions
Close to the beautiful city of Wells (3m), with its magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace, mystic Glastonbury (4m) and the ancient market town of Shepton Mallet (3m). Nearby attractions include Cheddar Caves and Gorge, Wookey Hole, shopping at Clark's Village in Street, Longleat, the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton, the Bath & West Showground and many others. Less than an hour away are historic Bath & Bristol and the beaches of Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea, Lyme Regis, Weymouth and Bridport.
Greenacres is 3/4 mile to the west of North Wootton village, at the centre of a triangle joining the towns of Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury. From the North M5 take Exit 21 and A371 via Cheddar to Wells, then A39 towards Glastonbury. 1/2m south of Wells turn left at at Brownes Garden Centre. Follow campsite signs.
From the South West use M5 Exit 23 and A39 via Street and Glastonbury, then on towards Wells. Pass through Coxley village, then turn right at at Brownes Garden Centre. Follow campsite signs.
From the East take the A361 from Shepton Mallet towards Glastonbury. Pass through Pilton village, then in 1/2 mile turn right at Steanbow and follow the campsite signs (2 miles).
