Located on the beautiful rugged coast of North Cornwall, Blue Hills Camping & Touring Park in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers a small, safe and tranquil mostly grass site for tents, Motorhomes, Caravans & Campervans. South facing, it enjoys superb views over the Cornish countryside and the distant historical mining village of St. Agnes.
The area is criss-crossed with lovely footpaths, and the sheltered all year around dog friendly cove Trevellas Porth is just a few minutes hill walk away.
We welcome well-behaved dogs & offer ‘Doggy Den an enclosed large garden space for the more nervous or small dogs to play in and ‘Harleys Field a 2 acre open space for all dogs to run and play in off lead.
The villages of St. Agnes and Perranporth with their beautiful surfing beaches, dog-friendly pubs and local produce shops are just 5 minutes drive away or a gentle stroll along the coast path. The local buses operate from the main road just 15 minutes walk from us.
We were voted by the public as supported by The Kennel Club of GB as the UK's BEST DOG-FRIENDLY CAMPING & CARAVAN SITE for 4 consecutive years 2015-2018 & again in 2020.
We operate a clean, family-friendly site with constant hot water via solar panels and a laundry room. We also have a small camp kitchen area (tbc due to Covid-19 guidelines)
Our toilet/shower facilities and disabled room were all refitted to modern standards in 2019.
There is a mobile phone charging facility for campers and backpackers not using electric hook-up. We offer a wetsuit dip and hanging area for the surfers out there. There is WiFi available on site.
Most pitches have electric hook-ups (booking advisable during peak season).
We are very active on social media sites which we update regularly.
The pretty historic mining village of St. Agnes is on the heritage coastline, is 2.5 road miles away (path walk takes approx 30 mins) the seaside town of Perranporth is 2 road miles in the other direction (path walk approx 55 mins away) both offering a wide range of shops, family-friendly pubs & other places to eat, with splendid sandy beaches renown for surfing & a number of surf schools operate at each.
We're central to many Cornwall attractions such as Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Falmouth, St. Michaels Mount & Lands End, all within 45 minutes drive. We often suggest a 1 night stay just isnt long enough to enjoy the local area. Truro is 20 minutes & park & ride is available taking you directly into the City. Buses run hourly along the coast road between Newquay & Truro, the bus stop is just 15 minutes walk from the site.
