A countryside site where the pitches are large with peace and quiet. Field Barn Park is an adult site for the over 30s for our visitors to come and relax in beautiful countryside.
The site in a small secluded fold of the Cotswold Hills only a mile from Bourton-on-the-Water. The site is away from roads (as far as possible), houses and streetlights.
The pitches are on firm free draining mown grass suitable for motorhomes and caravans and tents.
Many trees and shrubs have been planted for light shading and an element of privacy.
The pitches are numbered and are a generous 100 Sqm, all have electric, 10a, and access to water. Please bring long cables as some hook-ups are up to 15m from the pitch.
The site has a free shower and lavatory block with under-floor heating for those chilly times of year. Full disabled facilities are available.
There is a washing-up room with use of a large fridge/freezer; also a pay clothes-washing machine and tumble dryer.
Dogs are very welcome with two areas available to walk and excersice them.
Bourton-on-the-Water is only a mile away and can be reached either by the road or a footpath across the fields. The village is well stocked with all ones needs; there is a bank, post office, iron momger, fabulous bakery, grocer, paper shop, fuel, camping gas, pubs, restaurants, a model village made in 1947, a motor museum, lovely village green by the river, and many little gift shops.
During the season we have a lovely warden couple to help, advise and provide security.
The Cotswolds are beautiful with many interesting villages to visit; Lower and Upper Slaughter are beautiful with rivers passing through them as well as pubs and places for a special dinner. Nearby are the 3 Rissingtons, Wyck, Little with its lost church from the plaque, and Great with the popular Lamb Inn.
There are National Trust houses and gardens: like Buscot Park, Hidcote garden, Kiftsgate garden and Snowshill, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cotswold Farm Park - Adam Henson's Rare Breeds Farm, fabulous garden centres at Batsford Arboretum, Burford and Moreton, and many pubs.
Great walking everywhere with views and villages to visit. Nearby Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Burford, Cirencester, etc are a short drive. Beautiful Oxford is only an hour away with its historic colleges and spires.
