This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents, space permitting. This is a club member only site - you can usually join on site
Silver Bells Glamping offers a range of Glamping options, from a fully furnished bell tent, to a barebones bell tent option conveniently pre-erected onsite, great for those wishing to join camping friends on the campsite!
Minstead Manor Farm campsite is a quiet, hideaway site, positioned away from any roads or houses. The slightly sloping grass site is surrounded by fields and overlooks a trout lake (please contact us for details of fly fishing permits). At only an acre, we can accommodate 5 caravans/motorhomes (CCC members only), and a maximum of 8 tents, which we hope ensures a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. We have facilities including electric hook-up, toilets, showers, washing up area and freezer.
The site is established on a working farm: there are sheep in the neighbouring fields, and lambs from late spring time.
We welcome dogs, but they must be kept on leads at all times due to the livestock mentioned above. A short walk is available in nearby private woodland, and for longer routes, Highland Water Inclosure is about ½ mile away, giving access to cycle routes and endless walking opportunities.
Booking in advance is crucial, and we require 48 hours notice to pre-erect the bell tent.
We are open from 1st April - 29th October.
We require caravans/motorhomes to be members of the Camping & Caravanning Club.
No groups please.
Please contact us by email* or phone to enquire about bookings and 2018 prices. For tents, we need to check dimensions, so please have this info available. All standard pitches are 6m x 6m, with 2 XL pitches of 7m x 8m.
*we do our best to reply to all emails within 24 hours but if your enquiry is urgent, please ring!
Minstead Manor Farm is located between the villages of Emery Down and Minstead.
Emery Down offers a popular country pub, The New Forest Inn, great for lunch after a morning walk in the forest.
Minstead is brimming with local history, including the church where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is buried. It also has a welcoming village shop, Tourist Information point, and the Trusty Servant Inn - another popular pub. Furzey Gardens offer 8 acres of landscaped garden, with beautiful scenes all year round.
Lyndhurst, the largest village in the New Forest, is approximately 1 ½ miles away and offers a range of attractions, including shops, supermarket, visitor museum, art galleries, cafes and pubs.
The New Forest has many other places to explore, all within easy reach of the site
From North or East via M27, at Cadnam (J1) continue West on A31 dual carriageway to Stoney Cross.
Half a mile beyond Little Chef services, turn left, signposted Emery Down. (Ignore width restriction, only applies to village beyond farm entrance)
Site entrance is on the left after 1.8 miles (where the large rhododendron hedge finishes), look out for CCC sign 75 metres before turning.
When leaving site with van, heading North or East, travel via Lyndhurst & Cadnam, NO right turn at Stoney Cross onto the A31 East.
