SHEPHERDS HUTS have a king size bed, (bedding hire if required), on-board toilet & sink, fully fitted kitchen in mini including cooker, kettle, sink, fridge, Tv/dvd & real hobbit Log Burner also additional campsite facilities including shower/toilets. We do not accept pets in the huts.
GLAMPING PODS have heating, light, socket, TV with DVD player, King-size bed, (bedding hire if required), decked area with bespoke porch awning & extra insulation as we are open all year. Our "SPECIAL POD", Snugglewood, has an additional SMALL WASHROOM & TOILET ON-BOARD for those who like their home comforts. We do not accept pets in the pods.
TOURING PITCHES have hardstanding adjacent to grass. Electric hook up available & the usual fresh water & elsan point. You will need to have your own on-board facilities as there are no further facilities for touring vehicles.
One mile from the famous Watercress Steam railway line, 4 miles from the Georgian town of Alresford & 11 miles from both Petersfield & Winchester. Easy access to South Downs & the New Forest. A great base for exploring Hampshire.
Main transport within a mile or bookable village minibus service from the gate (very limited timetable)
We're on a single lane with few passing places, have staggered arrival & departure times, arrival after 3 pm, depart before 10.30 if in Pod or hut & 12 noon for vans.
To avoid disappointment please be aware, we're a country site that many campers return to chill & relax, we have neighbours and because of this we don't allow ball games onsite, we also ask for quiet from 10.30pm. View our website for more info.

Mid-Hants Railway 'Watercress Line' (10 mins walk from our site) Ultimate driving experience Tanks Quads etc Intech, interactive science and technology centre & planetarium. Walks & trails, Cycle Hire Sports centres, Swimming, Badminton, Squash, Short Tennis, Aerobic Classes etc Bird-watching, Hinton Ampner Garden & country house (National Trust) Fly fishing. Slightly further afield there is Horseriding, Go-Karting, Milestones Museum, Breamore Countryside Museum, Finkley Down Farm, Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm, Stonehenge, Go Ape high wire forest adventure course, Hot Air Balloon Flights, Longstock Water Gardens, Old Winchester Hill National Nature Reserve , Marwell Zoo, Exbury Gardens, National Motor Museum Beaulieu, Manor Farm & Museum, Hawk Conservancy, Country Park.
Please note for all towed vehicles. Do not use Sat Nav for this destination. Access via A31 onto Bighton Hill only, all other roads are unsuitable for Towing. Grid Ref: SU6302132970 We are off the A31 between Alton & Winchester. From Ropley, take Bighton Hill at small crossroads. Go up a hill, over a sm railway bridge, rd narrows, sharp blind RH, then LH bend, you're now in Sutton Wood Lane. Pass 1 prop called The Ramblers, our campsite is the next drive on L, just before next right hand bend. Please do not turn until you see campsite signs, neighbours don't appreciate a visit however short !
