Welcome to Wild Camping, we are a small friendly family campsite. The campsite is set 100m off the main road and is completely flat with a choice of 2 fields connected to each other. Good clean shower and toilet facilities. We welcome children and most pets. The fields are surrounded by high hedges so they are quite sheltered and they hold host to a variety of wild and domestic animals. We have a relaxed approach and hope if you decide to camp with us that you enjoy your stay.
In our surrounding country-side we have a various numbers of different Wildlife. In the location in which we are situated we are 200 meters down the road from a Nature Reserve Wildlife Centre which is owned and run Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Adders are a common sight around the area and are the only venomous snake in the British Isle. Although we are within Walking distance of the coast it is fully accessible we are still within a five minute drive of the closest beach where a wide range of marine animals and birds can be seen on a good day. Basking sharks and dolphins are a common sight on a summers day especially off the bay of Cadgwith and can also be seen off the lizard point. There are a number of flying animals in the area such As the Humble Bumble Bee, Red Admiral Butterfly, Buzzards and a bird which has recently rein habited the coast of Cornwall the Cough, these are just a few That can been seen around the lizard peninsular.
Nearby Attractions
Although we are a tranquil campsite we have a number of excellent attractions located within driving distance, and a bag full of stunning safe beaches. The Lizard Paintball which is situated about half a mile up the road.
Flambards Theme Park is a 10 minuet drive from the campsite and has various amounts of rides for all ages also throughout the month of August they have firework displays which are included in your entrant fee.
Another 10 minute drive from the campsite is the National Seal Sanctuary who are situated at Gweek for rescue and rehabilitation and it's also possible to adopt a seal.
Away from paying attractions the are a number of stunning beaches within a two minute drive or about a 20 minute walk these are Kynannce cove, Kennack sands and Housel bay .
