Large parts of the countryside surrounding the campsite belong to the National Trust / Park, so there are many local attractions for lovers of beaches, climbing, fishing, bird and wildlife, castles and walking.
The beaches include : Broadhaven south, Barrafundle (both National Trust), Freshwater East and West, Angle Bay and further afield, Manorbier, Tenby, Skrinkle Haven, Saundersfoot, Marloes, Broad Haven north and Dale. Local castles etc. are: Pembroke, Carew, Manorbier and Haverfordwest. There is the Bishops Palace (ruin) at Lamphey and a Tide Mill at Carew, which is the only surviving one in Wales.
