Directions
We are located on the A5270, the link road between the A6 & the A515. From Buxton, follow the A515 southbound for approx. 3 miles. Turn left at the Brierlow Bar junction onto A5270. Shallow Grange is about 1/3rd mile on the left. From Chesterfield/Bakewell follow the A6 to Buxton. Just beyond the Taddington bypass turn left onto the A5270 & continue for about 2 miles. Shallow Grange is on the right. N.B.Ignore signs for Chelmorton. Stay on the A5270
Nearby Attractions
The northern boundary of the farm is a dale - Back Dale - which is a protected Site of Special Scientific Interest full of rare grasses & wild flowers. If you come in late Spring, early Summer you will see an abundance of cowslips & spotted orchids.
Close by is the spa town of Buxton & the market town of Bakewell.
Poole's Cavern & the caves at Castleton are all worth a visit as is the plague village of Eyam & the Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath.
The Spa town of Buxton & the market town of Bakewell are close & we are within easy reach of the walking & biking trails - High Peak, Monsal & Tissington.
Carsington Water offers watersports & lots of interest for bird lovers & of course Haddon Hall & Chatsworth are just two of the famous stately homes in the area.
