What a great campsite. Welcoming and helpful staff, good facilities and easy MSP access.
The real bonus is the campsite’s proximity to town - seafood shack and oak & grain pizza highly recommended -as well as Tesco. Ullapool is beautiful.
We did have to arrive early to guarantee a waterside EHU pitch - got the last one at 1430!
Only pity is that no advance bookings accepted.
Definitely would use again and recommend to friends & family.

This is a beautiful site, right on the Loch edge. Very big with heaps of parking spaces.
Nice showers and toilets, very clean.
Town centre just a 10 minute walk.
The Seafood Shack has amazing food.
West Highland Woollen shop had lots of knitted jerseys, good prices.

Great location. Easy walk into town. Unable to book in advance which was not a problem when we went.
Like others I felt toilet block was old, dirty and could do with an overhaul. Bit disappointing compared to most other sites.

On a 2 month tour or Scotland and the islands and had to make a few changes here and there due to changes for ferries and van mechanics. You cannot book this site so you need to arrive early to get a spot. We opted for no electric and so had more options.
What we liked; the views, Ullapool just a short walk away the Indian restaurant at the entrance and the Bothy cafe. Reception were helpful. Plenty of facilities.
What we didn’t like; old facilities, shower drains smelt, electric cables laid out everywhere due to how the electric points were set up. Some people are more thoughtful about how they do this than others so can be a trip hazard getting to the toilet block. Not very clear where to walk the dog.
Facilities get dirty due to amount of people (and some being more tidy/clean than others)
This is always going to be a busy site as it has great views and is so close to the ferry terminal at Ullapool. Worth a visit.

Lovely, well maintained site, right on the waters edge. Actually in Ullapool itself so no need to move your motorhome once you park up unless you want to go further afield.
The only downside was there were no ehu spaces left when we arrived but we were given the chance to move to one the next day if we had wanted.

Friendly and efficient reception.
Generous pitches, clean facilities. Spectacular location.
Site felt spacious even when full because of plenty of non pitch areas.
Great to see a wide variety of campers from cycle tourers, motorcyclists, family tents and a full range of campers and motorhomes.
Adjacent cafe a real bonus. Recommend this site.

This site in by the sea in Ullapool with the town and ferry terminal behind it. It is quite a large site with showers toilets washing up area laundry.
It was quite noisy on the Thursday night I stayed there. Until 9. 30pm when everything quietened down. The town centre is only 5 minutes walk away.
There is a fuel station pubs fish+chips and other food outlets. One thing that surprised me about this site was usually you get water pipes routed all over a site as large as this.
But on this site you have to walk to the toilet block for it. Also toilet block has those annoying code locks to get in. I understand why they have them here.
But they are a nuisance to campers as people forget the code and have to walk back to get it.

Well we're do we start. Continuously rang the advertised number from 1800hr with no answer.
Arrived at site at 1915hr walked up to a closed reception which was shut. Rang the number again and was answered by a lady.
Explained the situation and could we pitch a 2 man tent for evening. There a ludicrous amount of space and it was raining.
The lady was extremely helpful and said no. Not interested. What a welcome. We could have just put the tent up but we never. Moral to this just put your tent up and worry about it later.
Once again thank you to the lady on the phone for her customer services. She should work for the welsh tourism board.
We can't wait to drive by you again

We spent five nights at this large site in Ullapool. They don’t take bookings but we had no problem getting a pitch at 3pm.
Facilities on site are ok but get rather grubby due to the volume of people on site.
Amazing views across Loch Broom and a short walk into the village centre which has everything you need.
Broomfield makes an excellent base on the NC500 for exploring the far north west of Scotland. It is a truly special part of the world and 5 nights wasn’t enough!

Love the location, size and cleanliness of this campsite. Decided to change our 1 night stay to 3 nights which we did last minute and was easily accommodated. The whole site is spotless and grass is cut frequently so your tent etc is not being soaked through.
Midges are always out at dawn and dusk but this can’t be helped being beside the water, citronella candles and spray helped.
Each tent pitch area had to be 6 meters apart but there was so much space for us to choose a location that we felt so comfortable in without invading our neighbours space.
We had a dog with us and he was very comfortable.
Showering facilities were the best I’ve seen on a campsite, they were clean and had a ‘squeegie’ (unsure of the real name or spelling) to dry the cubicle and surrounding shower area. Would advise shower shoes but would advise this anywhere, there is a double socket available for charging points while in shower or for hairdryer etc.
Central location with a 5 min walk to Tesco, 1 minute walk to harbour and local restaurants and a 1-2 min walk for a seafood shack.
10/10
