We spent five nights at this large site in Ullapool. They don’t take bookings but we had no problem getting a pitch at 3pm.
Facilities on site are ok but get rather grubby due to the volume of people on site.
Amazing views across Loch Broom and a short walk into the village centre which has everything you need.
Broomfield makes an excellent base on the NC500 for exploring the far north west of Scotland. It is a truly special part of the world and 5 nights wasn’t enough!

Love the location, size and cleanliness of this campsite. Decided to change our 1 night stay to 3 nights which we did last minute and was easily accommodated. The whole site is spotless and grass is cut frequently so your tent etc is not being soaked through.
Midges are always out at dawn and dusk but this can’t be helped being beside the water, citronella candles and spray helped.
Each tent pitch area had to be 6 meters apart but there was so much space for us to choose a location that we felt so comfortable in without invading our neighbours space.
We had a dog with us and he was very comfortable.
Showering facilities were the best I’ve seen on a campsite, they were clean and had a ‘squeegie’ (unsure of the real name or spelling) to dry the cubicle and surrounding shower area. Would advise shower shoes but would advise this anywhere, there is a double socket available for charging points while in shower or for hairdryer etc.
Central location with a 5 min walk to Tesco, 1 minute walk to harbour and local restaurants and a 1-2 min walk for a seafood shack.

Solo traveling with my dog - NC500. Broomfield has been my favourite place to stay.
The campsite had gorgeous views over the water and was within close distance to the harbour.
Close proximity to a cute cafe (The Bothy) and a gorgeous seafood shack! Facilities clean and well-maintained.
Campsite in fantastic condition considering people are constantly in and out! Loved it.
Will definitely be back.

Lovely site near the water. Weather was kind to us.
Local area nice too by the harbour.
Lovely area and great little golf course.
And England beat Holland so all good.

The view over the loch
The site is in a great location for shops and bars
Bad -
The toilet/shower facilities are dirty and need updating
The gate closes at 7pm so can’t get a car in or out

A really nice site with fantastic views,
Facilities were very good and it's a short walk into the town.
Only downside is that they don't take bookings, when we visited in June the advice was to get there by 4pm to get a pitch with a hook-up.

Amazing view and sunset over Loch Broom.
Location of date spot on next to shops, pub, fuel stop and Tesco superstore all within 5 minutes walk
The grass was well looked after cutting wise but clippings were walked into shower/ toilet blocks.
All in all a lovely site,
You can't book but check in and plenty of ehu or non available

Good location lovely views of loch Broom and the surrounding mountains.
Ferries for the outer Hebrides pass in front of the campsite.
Only negative point is not enough ventilation in the.
Showers and Toilet block. The mirrors and walls of the toilets were soaking all day so was the floor.
Ullapool within walking distance and lovely coffee from the Bothy nearby.

Location ideal. Captive audience and geared up for mass market.
Moderately cheap and adequate, if somewhat tired and dirty, facilities. Does the job.
Great for those coming on/ off Ferries or travelling NC500.
Showers not the warmest or strongest and toilet block cold but certainly a step up from wild camping.

Great location - had camper facing the Loch.
Easy check in, staff really helpful, we had issue with changing the gas, we went to ask them to borrow tools and they came down to the motorhome and helped us to sort it out - A1 service.
Loads of loos and showers ( a bit cold in there (water hot though) but what do you expect for the highlands in April !)
Good location to walk into Ullapool for food and shops.

Quiet site but busy when the ferry docks so get there before it docks first come first served
Front pitches required a long electric lead but we found second row just as good as staged pitches.
Showers plenty and cleaning is plenty
Town short walk, Tesco's easy walk
Pub prices vary
Good base camp, we drove to durness and back in one day as sites full on route unless you book

We had booked in for one night and ended up staying for two.
