A lovely site great views and wildlife.

Kingfisher seen on the river and tawny owls calling every night. Loads of other bird species with regular fly overs from geese.

Very quiet site with very well thought out facilities.

Lovely and very helpful couple run this little gem

I stayed here in my camper, my friend used their tent. This site is reasonably priced, in beautiful countryside, peaceful and quiet.

There is a static caravan with a bathroom (yes it has a bath), showers are a pound a time via honesty box, another toilet, two small lounges (one with books and the other with videos and dvds -and a small TV with video and dvd player.

There is a kitchen with a couple of kettles, microwave, and a fridge freezer for campers use.

There are provisions you can purchase like bacon and eggs but also ice cream and chocolate bars. You can also borrow a hot water bottle for a pound a night.

This site is well laid out, seems to have thought of everything and then some and it is close to town that has pubs and cafe's, lots are dog friendly. Also only 20 minutes from Alnwick, and about the same from Amble which is a lovely seaside town.

Basically I cannot wait to go back and I totally recommend this site if you want a few days of peace and quiet and just chilling.

Oh and the facilities were really clean and you get to chat with other campers in the kitchen or just outside the static on the tables and chairs provided.

Really lovely welcome. Static caravan with kettles, plugs for charging phones and seating area could do with more showers when the eco showers are not warm enough.

Lovely grounds with wild flowers and local produce for sale.

Short walk to warkworth and the cricket ground is a must with their homemade cakes.

Easy reach to coastal path walk to Alnwick and amble. We will be back.

A lovely natural setting with well-mowed pitches set between trees in a meadow above a river.

Friendly owners and pretty good facilities in a static caravan and a number of sheds.

Easy cycling distance of Warkworth and Amble.

It would be nice if the wash room was open later, as it closes at 9pm.

A lovely site in a remote location. Facilities in a static caravan open all day with toilets only at night.

A nice welcome and loads of space. About 2. 5 miles' walk from Warkworth, ford not recommended-although we did watch someone successfully drive across it.

Somewhat hilly for bikes but electrics might manage it- we only have one between us so decided to walk.

Warkworth has enough pubs and restaurants and a pizza joint at the back of the "Mason's Arms" which IS recommended. Another mile and a half (downhill) to Amble but there are buses both ways till late.

Amble is great fun. Puffin cruises in season and a few left even at the end of July- they really are charming. As are the seals who pop up for a look at the humans.

Fabulous site with good facilities, including a small shop and a kitchen area with fridge freezer.

The owner greeted us on arrival and was friendly and helpful.

One shower and bath with hot water available but we used the eco showers, which were perfect for us.

The site was fairly busy but the layout meant it never felt crowded.

This is our first time staying here but it won't be our last.

A lovely spacious site with good, clean facilities.

Very helpful owners.

Well stocked honesty box shop very much appreciated.

A beautiful area to explore.

More washroom facilities would be helpful and clearing of grass cuttings after mowing would save wet grass getting into vehicle and washrooms.

Loved this site! It's a one-off, lots of individuality, and the owner works really hard to run it well.

The main facilities are in a static caravan, plus a couple of loos for overnight when the caravan is locked.

Everything was really clean, there's sockets to charge phones, and there were three electric kettles plus even hot water bottles to borrow in the kitchen/small shop with food and other things.

There were problems with the shower when I was there, but that sounded like it would be sorted soon, and a solar shower is 'work in progress'. Did need to wait to use washing facilities as the campsite was full, but everyone was really laid-back about this.

I stayed on two separate overnights - the first time I was in the top area near the facilities and farmhouse, the second down the hill where there are pitches near a newly-planted woodland. Both are nice.

There's a circular walk through the woodland and the meadow. Further to go to the facilities at night - but worth it for the stars.

Beautiful quiet site in a lovely setting.

As mentioned by many others, the only grumble with this site is that there is a single shower for the whole campsite. You find yourself either queuing for ages (there is no seat so you are stood waiting) or setting an alarm for really early morning to try to get a shower before starting the day.

The shower are locked at 9pm so you can’t have a shower at night to ease the pressure and reduce the numbers trying to use in the morning.

Have to reiterate, beautiful site and loved the honesty shop, but the lack of access to showers makes the stay more difficult than it needs to be.

This site is absolutely beautiful, set in grassy meadows and with a lovely laid back vibe.

We stayed at the top of the site as we needed a hook up and the pitches were huge, plenty of room to relax and not feel hemmed in, like some more formal sites.

Handy location for exploring the area too, we took the dog and she loved the beaches at Warkworth, Alnmouth and further up the coast at Dunstanburgh.

There are also lots of innovations by the owners to be as eco in their approach as possible, which was great to see.

The only reason I'm not giving this site 10/10 is, as others have mentioned, the fact that there is only one shower for the whole site, and only one toilet with sink in addition to this (although there are 2 was outside open 24/7) - the site was full and there was a wait to get a scrub up every morning.

Aside from that through, truly wonderful.

We'll be back!
