Small campsite convenient for Hadrian’s Wall, with hard standing pitches with metered EHU and good sanitary facilities with hot water.
Bardon Mill a short walk away has a nice pub and a tea shop.
The bonus was the complimentary box of fresh eggs!
The only minor point is road noise from the A69 in early morning.
I will camp there again in the future.

Another enjoyable few days spent at Brockalee.
Small and personable.
Sheep, Alpacas. Donkeys and a horse all live her too.
Views are spectacular.
Lots of local walking.
Bus and train route nearby.
A great place to spend time and chill out or visit the local area.

A great friendly site. Spotless amenities. Very well kept grounds. Pets welcome.
Within walking distance from local village. On a bus and train route.
Felt very safe and welcome.
There is now a shepherd's hut on the site if camping is not for you.

Nice site and really enjoyed my stay here. Its a small site but has the essentials and most pitches have a grey water drain. There is one toilet/shower, another toilet and a second shower round the back as well, as are dishwashing facilities.
Electric is metered - you take a photo of meter at the start and end of your stay and currently charged at 30p per unit.
Jeff the owner is normally about in the morning and early evening. He's incredibly friendly and can't do enough for you.
Nice to watch the views and sheep/donkeys he has in the field and the free eggs were lovely.
Its just off the A69 and its a very easy approach. You get a bit of road noise but its not bothersome and its quiet at night etc. Site is on the side of a valley so it can be a bit exposed.
Short walk to Bardon Mill and there is a public footpath (some sections of quiet road) to Vindolanda (about 30mins).
There is a small Sainsburys in Haltwhistle and Tesco/Lidl/Aldi in Hexham.
Definitely a good site for exploring the area.

A very warm welcome from site owner, Jeff, on arrival, with a box of 6 fresh eggs too. Tent pitches are level and the grass well cut.
The facilities of showers, loos and washing up area were spotlessly clean. With plenty of hot water too.
This site is ideally placed for exploring Hadrian's Wall, and the Roman Fort at Vindolanda is just a 20 minute walk away along very quiet country lane.
A lovely site, highly recommended!

We liked Jeff's friendliness, the site was quiet with very easy access to all areas via A69.
Jeff gave very easy to follow instructions on directions. A warm welcome and no nonsense site.
If the site was full, only two toilets and showers but manageable. Kept very clean.

Stayed here for three nights in our campervan and my son and grandchildren in a tent.
Geoff went out of his way to accomodate us being side by side which is the perfect way for us all to camp.
The animals are a delight and the free sheepdog display was amazing! Jack the goat is something else!
The gate is padlocked and all cars drove very slowly when we were there meaning the 3 and 4 yr olds were totally safe and able to explore whilst we kept an eye from a distance.
Toilets and showers were spotlessly clean all the time - no mean achievement
The village play park across the A69 is magnificent for all ages but slightly treacherous to cross.

A small friendly site with ample facilities in a great location near to Hadrians Wall.
Just a bit close to the A68, so a lot of road noise.
Free eggs!

I have stayed here a few times, it's 5*, we can't wait to return on the 28th.
There is only one problem, you have to be quick to get a spot so don't wait.
We usually walk to Barden mill and have a few drinks and some food in the village, last time Jeff came with us, what a night that was.
