Been here a few times now. Always a friendly welcome from Jeff and usually with a box of 6 fresh eggs!

Immaculately kept grounds with very organised recycling facilities and thoughtfully presented pitches.

There is a busy main road within earshot, which didn't bother us and we still slept well.

Local area great for walking and cycling.

It's one of our go to places as we always enjoy being here.

Fab site in the Tyne valley, located handily for exploring north Pennines, Hadrian's Wall and Northumberland National Park.

Friendly welcome, loads of local information, spotless facilities. Pub and tearoom/shop within walking distance. Local footpath network takes you right into Vindolanda and The Sill visitor Centre is nearby too.

Friendly donkeys and pony in the field next door.

Site felt very secure as access is via a locked gate (instructions to get in are given on booking) and the owners are always nearby.

What a lovely little site! Jeff is so very welcoming and helpful, I can see why people go there time and again.

There are only a few pitches, mostly hardstandings with grass beside them and a couple of grass ones. The pitches are level, the grass is well kept and thereís plenty of space. The field opposite had sheep and friendly donkeys in it when we were there.

The facilities (2 loos, 2 showers) are perfectly adequate for the number of pitches and thereís also a washing up area. Itís all kept very clean.

Barton Mill is within easy walking distance, with a great pub, a shop/tearoom, and a large pottery - we came away with pots we hadnít realised we neededÖ. And of course itís close to all the Hadrianís Wall sites and in the middle of a fantastic walking area.

The only downside is that if youíre in a tent, you can hear noise from the A69, which is quite close.

Excellent site clean facilities and a pleasant very helpful owner.

Would stay again or recommend without hesitation.

There are not dedicated child facilities but lots of goats, sheep. Donkeys and a Shetland pony to befriend.

This really has to be our favourite site.

Only small but well laid out with great little facilities. Nice level pitches.

Very friendly owner who presents everyone with a box of nice eggs.

Nice pub very handy and close to Hadrians Wall.

Excellent small site just off A69 trunk road between Haltwhistle and Haydon Bridge. Bardon Mill opposite has bus stops and a train station for those who want to visit Carlisle / Newcastle / Hexham etc. But you have to cross busy A69 to get there! Caution required!

Great views from all pitches across the valley looking towards Alston. Very good, clean toilet /shower block with adjoining washing up area plus waste disposal point.

All flat gravel pitches have drainage points and grassed areas between pitches are mowed regularly. Site owner Jeff is always available for a friendly chat and is a book of knowledge of the local area. He is a very genuine and caring owner who puts in a lot of effort to make sure your stay is as welcoming as possible.

Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy!

Will most definitely return to this C&C Club site.
