 What an absolutely beautiful site, on entering through the gate at the top of the carpark we weren’t expecting too much …. But wow what a find, massive pitches along side the canal,
We couldn’t fault it, other than the walk back from the pub in the dark remembering where the duck ponds were ??( take a head torch !)
Fat bobs food is amazing and we loved the quirky museum ! All staff were super friendly, showers and toilet’s spotless

Friendly welcome pitches very well spaced out 10amp ehu good freeview reception average mobile reception wifi available in bar area.
All grass pitches so beware if it rains.
Clean and tidy facilities but unfortunately not big enough for site with campers and caravans sharing the same facilities, queues on Saturday and Sunday. Elsan is a metal tank which was ripe when I used it on Sunday morning.
Small pool and grand union canal to fish.
Fat bobs offers breakfast and snacks closed at 14. 30, pub offers limited food menu as they have lost the chef.
3 pubs within walking distance along canal (take torch for return journey) no noise from pub even with a family party in fat bobs on Saturday night.

Beautiful tree-lined site with two large ponds and a fishing lake adjacent to the campsite.
Very peaceful and great walks for the dog.
We had breakfast at Fat Bobs and dinner at the pub, both of which were very good quality, and the staff were helpful and pleasant.
We will definitely visit again.
This site is only half a mile from home for us but once you arrive you could be anywhere - total relaxation!

Nice site
Loved the duck ponds and nearby reservoir
Only 40 minutes away so a nice drop in
Facilities were clean although one of the male WC's ran out of paper

Absolutely amazing site. Our first time on an adult only site, which we loved!
Right next to water and nature, with the National Route41 Cycle Path along the canal, which was absolutely perfect, an easy flat route, 13m as far as we could go and back again.
The staff were very friendly and food very reasonable, £20 for fish and chips, although we enjoyed the BBQ night £10 for a double cheeseburger and fries, along with approximately 50+ friendly bikers, as it was bike rally night.
We shall definitely be back!
I’ve given a 9/10 for customer service, as we tried booking via email on the camping site, with no luck, so had to ring instead!

Stayed one night as an overnight stop from south coast. Really lovely place and would have liked to stay longer. Very spacious pitches, and the site was quiet. Large open space with vans just around the edges.
Very nice pub on site with large beer garden and terrace right on the canal side.
2 small ponds and a large lake on site for fishing or walking round. Also walks along the canal.
Only 2 showers but nice and hot.
The pub has bikers night on Wednesday and also a car boot sale Wednesday morning in summer.
Pub serves food and also has a cafe, Fat Bob's which I think also does breakfasts.
It said website was under construction so I phoned and left a message and also emailed and phoned again. Not having a reply after 4 hours I was getting worried we'd have nowhere to stay and thought I'd have to try somewhere else but I phoned once more and luckily got an answer. Glad I persevered as this site is so nice.
When we arrived the ladies were so busy serving in the bar it's no wonder they couldn't answer the phone so hopefully when the website is running there might be an option for online booking to make things easier. Would like to visit again for longer but we do like to use buses when we're away and I suspect there is no bus stop nearby but I'll be looking into that.

Very nice site, good access to canal and woody dog walks, also lovely outside garden to pub by canal.
Very friendly and most folks had dogs.
Loved it sill stay again soon we hope.

For the most part a very tranquil peaceful setting.
Amenities are adequate with plenty of choice of fishing.
Site is ideal for bike riding and walking.
Enjoyed the food.

Great pub site next to the canal & a fishing lake.
Friendly staff, good clean loos & showers. Flat pitches with lots of room.
Pub does pub grub & Fat Bobs does breakfasts.
Quiet when we were there but suspect it can get noisy on a meet night.
