This site is lovely, the pitches are well spaced and well-thought out. Didn't like our pitch much due to it being right next to the road to the fishing lake and people speeding up there day and night- but that was the only issue.

The showers and toilets were really clean and spacious.

The pub itself was lovely an old farmhouse originally. Lovely food. The only draw back was it wasn't dog friendly which left me scratching my head given the site is completely dog friendly.

Wasn't an issue this weekend as the weather was glorious but if it had been raining we'd have had to stay in the van and the pub would have lost plenty of business!

There is another pub up the canal - the two boats which serves amazing food and us dog friendly. Had a lovely time overall and will be back.

Just returned from this lovely site, setting is really beautiful, right along side the canal, moments stroll to the pub!

Toilets really clean and well looked after, service in the pub excellent.

Cannot fault this site and cannot wait to return

Very friendly staff and handy to be close to the pub although at present the menu is restricted -- no problem as food was good.

The toilets and showers were very clean although 1 day there was a queue to use the ladies showers but it was a busy bank holiday.

The site is well kept but wi-fi is non existent. TV signal poor.

We really enjoyed our stay but at times it was spoilt by very inconsiderate fishermen who are meant to use the designated road. Some totally ignored this and drove past our unit at speed.

We may return but would be very selective on our pitch choice.

Fantastic site. Plenty of room with good clean facilities and great fishing to keep the Mr happy.

The pub was very welcoming with lovely food.

There was also a car boot on site with good bargains to be had. 5/5. See you again soon

Super site with plenty of space to each pitch.

Landscaped grounds well kept.

Canalside pub serving a decent menu.

Clean facilities, ( could do with expanding)

Fishing on site and next door.

Definitely worth recommending.

Will revisit without a doubt.

Value for money.

This campsite was clean and very well run, no over crowding and very tranquil set alongside the canal.

At the adjacent Blue Lias Inn you could have a good meal as well as a drink with plenty of tables outside as well as inside.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Loved all the flowers and the whole setting of the campsite.

Will visit again.

 The pros:

The campsite is laid out nicely, with big pitches and nice trees and a couple of ponds.

Its situated near the canal and has some nice walks from it.

There is a rally field near the main site and this was in use while we were there, but there wasn't any noticeable noise.

The cons:

We did have rather noisy neighbours, which somewhat spoilt our visit and there was a lot of barking and poorly controlled dogs.

There aren't enough toilets (two in the gents) and showers for the size of the site and they were a bit unkempt at times, with no toilet paper a couple of times.

There is only one water point for the site, which was surprising.

Overall, not a bad site, we may visit again, but it could do with the rules being enforced more.

Very nice clean and maintained site. Shower/toilets very clean and fresh. Great location right beside the canal. Food in the pub was ony pub grub but very nice on the night we ate in there and service from staff was quick, efficient and polite

Many Thanks
