On our 2nd holiday of the year at this wonderful adult only touring site.
The owner Jon is very helpful and friendly and the fees are reasonable too. Useful "honesty" shop for basic goods with free wifi in the info centre that also has books and CD's to borrow for your stay.
Clean toilets and showers available, even a dog shower and electric vehicle charge point.
Approx 2/3 miles from the sea at Anderby Creek and handy for Sutton on Sea and Chapel St. Leonards. 2 pubs within about a mile for good food and real ales.
So, if you prefer a peaceful site without a noisy clubhouse and families, this would be a good choice.

Amazing place for us and our three dogs.
Site is well laid out immaculately kept and maintained. Clean facilities.
Honesty shop with most essentials and a few lovely luxuries from local sources including whiskey and ginger marmalade.
There are 4 fenced off meadows with mown tracks for exercising the four legged friends.
Jon was helpful and always cheerfully.
We will be back often
Thank you

Just had our longest break (10 nights) in years at this lovely site (had 7 nights here back in June). It's a quiet site in a nice area that's handy for Sutton on Sea and Chapel St. Leonards.
Have been coming to this area for years and after 2 other sites we used being bought out and turning corporate we discovered this site and have been using for at least 2 years.
A couple of good pub's for good beer and good food not far away (Red Lion and Axe and Cleaver) - both dog friendly (now lost our's) with a good restaurant 2. 5 miles away at Anderby Creek - Poppas; good fish and chips and on Sunday's a carvery.
Handy trust shop on site for essentials, ice cream and ice, with free wi-fi by the shop.
Toilets and showers always clean and adequate. Site owners very helpful and friendly.
Looking forward to another visit for a week in early October Can't offer any negatives.

Just got back home after our second visit this year to this lovely site, such a fabulous place to stay, nothing to dislike at all.
The showers and toilets are spotlessly clean and there is always plenty of hot water, its great to see the Llamas, sheep amd goats,
This site has a true country feel, the owners are great people for whom nothing is too much trouble, they work very hard to keep everything in tip top condition the pitches are very generous.
Plenty of room for van, awning and car, Also plenty of room for the dogs to have a run round off the lead on the exercise fields
We will certainly be going back and would recommend this lovely site to everyone.

We have had such a lovely time at captain bluebells, Jon greeted us when we arrived, made to feel very welcome.
There are 3 dog walking fields which our dogs loved, safe and secure with the added bonus of poo bags (just in case!) and poo bins and sanitisers on the posts.
Showers and toilets are very clean. Loved the showers.
There is a little shop with essentials, homemade Jams/ marmalades/ chutneys, which we purchased some of.
Absolutely 💯 recommend. Looking forward to returning 😀

This site has blown us away it is so peaceful, site is arranged with consideration.
Facilities are immaculately clean. You are surrounded by farmland and tranquillity not forgetting the Llamas, goats & sheep.
This was the most relaxing break we have had in years. Already booking for later this year and next.
The site has a small shop selling local produce, an electric car charging point, dog shower with warm water!
On arrival we were met by both owners and were made to feel really wanted. We were shown to our pitch and our great time commenced.
This site is an absolute gem.

Just returned home after spending THE most relaxing holiday. John & Sara were the perfect hosts, always had time to stop and chat.
The little shop was lovely, selling basics to homemade soaps, jams & jellies.
Lovely, secure fields for the dogs to have a runabout. Showers and toilets were really clean and loads of hot water.
Definitely be going again
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here. Perfect for dog lovers.

This is a hidden gem of a campsite. Beautiful peaceful location.
Spotless facilities friendly welcome and lovely animals.
The dog fields are brilliant with space to run play and sniff for the dogs and picnic benches provided for the humans.
Most dog friendly site ever.

It was lovely to be greeted by Jon, it was like visiting family members rather than a holiday destination. As usual, the site was kept immaculate.
The pitches are gravel, level and a nice size for privacy. The little shop is handy for a few items- Jon is always happy to get ideas for what is needed.
The showers and toilets are spotlessly clean. Beaches are close enough if you are able to bike and one beach is a few minutes drive along the road.
There are plenty of other places to visit, but it's always great to get back to 'Captain Bluebell's'!

We managed to get a stay here at short notice due to our van being locked away (for repairs) during lockdown - so could not plan in advance and this was our first holiday in nearly 2 years.
Not been to this site before but have stayed in the area many times over the years.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
It's quiet, not on a main road, with friendly owners.
Handy as a base as its in between Sutton on Sea and Chapel St, Leonards. Adults only and dog friendly, with 2 x pubs and the sea (Anderby Creek) within 5 mins drive.
Small shop selling local produce (eggs, honey etc). Good space between pitches.
If you like a quiet site you should enjoy a stay here.

Captain Bluebells is an adults only site that caters very well for dog owners with dog walking areas on site. The facilities are kept spotlessly clean and there are hand sanitizer stations through the site.
There are rare breed sheep, goats, 2 alpacas and a llama on site. As well as some chickens. They are all very friendly
The owners Sarah and Jon are available 24/7 and nothing is to much trouble for them
. The site is ideally situated with the beach at Anderby creek about two miles away. Skegness, Ingoldmells and Mablethorpe are all within easy reach.
There are grass and hard standing pitches all with electrics.
I would definitely visit again.
