Lovely campsite really well maintained
Toilets and showers were immaculate
There is a park and ride just at the entry to campsite so easy to get buses
We walked into Shrewsbury only about 1. 5 mile nice walk
It is quite central for visiting different towns although the iron gorge and the museums were closed because national trust were refurbishing them, so check before you go
There is a co op a chip shop a Chinese near the entry so very convenient
The staff were very good

What a splendid site. Our first time at morris Leisure. Great location near to a local Co-Op fish and chips and Chinese takeaway. Local chemist and charity shop nearby. Larger supermarkets further afield. Park and ride busses easily accessible but don't run on a Sunday for some strange reason, and is by far the easiest way to get into Shrewsbury, with its array of historic churches and shops and eateries.
The Site is very well kept. We did notice lots of other motorhome and caravans struggling with pitch levelling. Not all pitches were level! We were lucky on an adult pitch with services. Water points and bins dotted all over the site. Squirrels and rabbits in abundance. Kept our dog amused looking out of the windows.
Toilet block very clean and well presented, but sadly suffers from the lack of toilets which we see on lots of other sites. Why site owners insist on having wash basin cubicles I will never understand, toilets and showers resulted in queues every morning and becomes very frustrating for its users. Another toilet block would have made this site 10/10, especially as some pitches were quite a distance from the toilet block. The number of toilets is the only criticism everything else was excellent.
Overall a very nice site, will be trying one of the other sites in the group.

Whilst this js a fabulous site for location we won’t be coming back as one thing really let it down and that was the pitches.
Back to the positives
- Park and Ride to Shrewsbury quite literally on the driveway
- Co-op supermarket, Greggs, fish & chip shop, Cantonese takeaway, pharmacy & charity shop at the end of the driveway
- Ego restaurant/pub across the road
- Lots of water/elsan/rubbish points emptied regularly
The not so good
- Toilet block seems
Small in comparison to number of pitches
- Water pressure is a bit hit and miss in the shower depending on how many showers are in use meaning at times it’s less than a dribble! When its good its great
The bad
- Many of the hardstandings are not level. The majority of campervans / motorhomes were on the top of their ramps. For the price paid for hard standing that's not acceptable especially as they're gravel so could be rectified by the site
- The first pitch allocated to us was on such a slope despite trying 3 different positions we could not get to an acceptable level. I was made to feel very uncomfortable when asking for a different pitch and this was only done so very begrudgingly. We could not have stayed where we were it was so bad but a shorter van or caravan may have been able to level (we are 6. 3m)
So we won’t be going back. If you’re booked don’t forget your ramps!

Oxen Hall is a great site for visiting Shrewsbury. Jump on the park and ride, located next to the site. Just £2 return.
Fabulous indoor Market with lots of street food cafes. We chose Thai this time.
Lovely walks along the river. Plenty of thriving shops.
Lovely countryside and walking area if you want to explore further afield.
On site facilities are first class and wardens are welcoming and helpful.

We arrived quite late, but the easy to follow instructions and pitch details were on the board along with a tel no for the warden.
Unfortunately our pitch was on too much of a slope for our ramps, we called the warden who quickly responded and sorted us out on a level pitch. A great and friendly response from staff.
The site was very clean and well cared for by the staff, Christmas lighting was a very nice touch.
Definitely recommend this site. Even better was we had a 3 for 2 offer. Thanks Morris leisure and staff

Fabulous site with excellent maintained pitches and facilities.
The wardens were very pleasant and helpful and had done a great job putting up Christmas lights and decorations around the site.
Location is perfect, next to the Shrewsbury park and ride and a good supermarket and takeaways.

Our 3rd time here, and still a lovely site, as you would expect being part of Morris Leisure.
Facilities are first class and the site itself has mostly flat pitches.
We stayed in the Adults only area which had a good distance between pitches.
There is a Coop and takeaway shops, a pub which serves lovely food, and a Park and Ride bus service to Shrewsbury, all within walking distance of the site.
Shrewsbury is a busy town with lots of independent shops, cafes and pubs.

Great site, good clean facilities and nice landscaped areas with pitches not too close to each other.
There is a park and ride at the entrance to get into Shrewsbury or it’s a 3 mile walk.
Owners very helpful.

Helpful staff, clean site, shops and park and ride very close. What more could you want.
We also took advantage of of the three for two night stay.
If you get the chance go to Shrewsbury prison museum, worth a visit.

We recently stayed at Oxon Hall Caravan Park, the site is well maintained, and the facilities are kept clean, the staff are very polite and welcoming.
The site is perfectly located for visiting Shrewsbury and the surrounding area, the only downside, is the size of some of the pitches around the site and how close they are to one another. We stayed on pitch 48, which was so small we could not put up our awning, pitch 47, 48 and 49 were close to one another
Overall we would most likely go back but would contact the site first to make certain that we did not get allocated one of the above pitches, I feel these 3 pitches are only suitable for small camper vans on an overnight stay.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5+ stars
What a lovely site. We had a super-pitch and ‘super’ it was, it has now spoilt us (in a good way) to only wanting to visit other Morris sites.
With a welcome addition of fully stocked shop.
Every part of the site was immaculately kept.
The dog walk areas were perfect.
With Shrewsbury being close to Oxon Hall, it was so easy to use the ‘Park & Ride’ facility just outside the camp site. Shrewsbury is a great town full of lovely boutiques and main high street shops, lots of coffee shops, and historic buildings to visit. Even a river cruise if it takes your fancy.

My first ever time in a motorhome and camp site. Loved it.
The place was so welcoming. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The site has absolutely everything you need.
The place is spotless and they even have a field that you can walk your dog in. (Its not 100% secure for those who have escape artists).
I'm so glad I chose this site for my first experience.
Will definitely be back.
