We have been using this site for 3 to 4 years now and it has always been excellent, well maintained and one of the best toilet/shower blocks we have experienced however, on our latest visit last week few negative observations.

The water temperatures in the men's showers was just to say warm. There is a radiator in the entrance vestibule that was on but the two radiators in the mens room were not on so it was quite chilly.

The hot water temperature in the pot wash was just to say hot. There are lights fixed to the external of the block but these were not on during darkness so the place was extremely dark.

Paying top prices for this site we expect this to be better.

Excellently positioned site, 2 miles walk from Asda/Harrogate centre or Knaresbrough. We walked (~25 mins either destination), all on good tarmac surfaces.

Also great on a bike to Ripley & beyond.

A quiet site with very level concrete pitches (grass to either side).

As others have mentioned the toilet/shower facilities are 'as new' and immaculately cleaned. Indeed the wardens are always doing something on site. Even cleaning with a cloth all the service posts (elec/water) on each pitch!

Highly recommended. We will be back

Just got back after a great weekend. This site is perfect in everyday possible.

You are very well looked after. The team are so super friendly and helpful. It is so welcoming peaceful and relaxing.

The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks. A pub near by.

The facilities are spotlessly clean the best I've seen. I highly recommend this site believe me its a gem. Can't wait to go back.

Thank you to the team who run the site.

This is a brilliant campsite if you’re looking for a base to explore North Yorkshire, we only stayed a few nights but have already booked again!

The cycle network runs directly outside the campsite which made it ideal for exploring.

We visited Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripley on our bikes which was ideal as we didn’t have to move the car once!

The site itself is spotless and clean, the facilities are brand new and cleaned to a very high standard. We can’t wait to return.

Absolutely brilliant site to visit, Owner and Wardens was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the site info and surroundings,

Facility block was excellent very clean and tidy.

Ideal central place to visit Yorkshire Dales and villages ie Skipton, Ripon, Masham etc, York is only 22 miles away, nice walks locally, can walk from the site into Harrogate & Knaresborough, local pub The Gardeners arms is only a 5 minute walk.

Again I would definitely say it’s worth a visit and like us we will certainly be coming back.

 Great site. Friendly staff.

As others say, the toilets and showers are new and spotless.

Lovely walk from the site by the river and woods.

Will return.

No children so can't rate child friendliness.

 Loved this site

Friendly staff

Spotless facilities

Great location with a lovely walk into Knasbarough. We didn't go to Harrogate. It's about 30 mins drive to Ripon, which is lovely.

Only niggle and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it, the pitches are small. We had our awning up and we we're quite close to our neighbours.

Most pitches are full serviced with good WiFi and TV reception

The Gardeners Arms pub is just a short walk from the site. Its great when the weather is nice for a drink in the pub garden but it's not a dog friendly pub and they don't serve food.

The site is lovely. Large, spacious pitches, level, the grass cut short and no grass clippings to get trampled in.

The toilet and shower block is immaculate, I have never seen any that are so clean and tidy all of the time.

Washing up sinks cleaned regularly too. The lovely warden, Philippa, does a fantastic job and she is very friendly too.

Great location for walking and a fab local pub too.

We will definitely return.

Excellent site in a great location.

On main cycle routes so it's a joy to get into Knaresborough, Harrogate or Ripley, and very close to a great pub (sadly no food).

Toilets and showers are immaculate and wardens are very friendly.

Being critical, there are residential lodges on the site which perhaps aren't the most attractive,

But overall it's great.

 Lovely site, great location.

The best toilet and shower block I've seen so far.

Within walking or cycling distance to Knaresborough and Harrogate.

Nice pub just down the road 👍
