 Lovely campsite, really handily situated for walking up The Cobbler, which is what we were doing.
Easy to find, it's just by the petrol station on the main road (A83) in Arrochar, opposite the large carpark.
Given it's convenient location, the campsite toilets are locked and you get your own key for your stay, this meant the toilets were well maintained and clean.
It calls itself a caravan site, but they do also take tents. There is a field tucked away for tents that is not immediately obvious. We liked this, it was lovely and quiet and we more or less had this space to ourselves (we were there mid week).
There is a snack bar and petrol pumps on site. The owner was very upfront about the fact that there were midges. There were a lot of midges, but there is not much that can be done about that.
It was only £25 for five of us for one night in a tent (we didn't need electric hookup, so don't know whether this would have been an option). Price is extremely reasonable. You need a pound coin to work the shower. As we had a long journey ahead of us and we were heading home we did not use the showers.
We walked into Arrochar in the evening to get some food. The only place that we found was the chippy, which was fine. There is a fancier restaurant if you carry on round the bay on the road to Helensburgh, but we didn't go that far as we were happy with the chippy. The snack bar on site is only open till around 2pm (I think).
We had a really enjoyable day climbing The Cobbler and the campsite was exactly what we were looking for.

A very pleasant campsite with very reasonable prices; the tent pitches are quiet and the people are welcoming.
Just be prepared to deal with midges and have some coins handy for the showers.
I recommend going there !

All very good includes situation, location, scenery, conveniences, cleanliness.
It is very adjacent to the beautiful Mull of Kintyre.
Situated at top of the sea loch, Loch Long.

The site was lovely, toilets and showers were really clean. It was very quiet although the owner did say it can be a bit loud if its very busy.
The cost was great £20 per night including electric hookup. It was a few minutes walk from Arrochar and across the road is loch long.
On site there is a small cafe which doubles as reception. Prices were reasonable for filled rolls hot and cold and hot and cold drinks.
Nothing for children on site though.
Only real downside for us were the midges even with skin so soft and essential oils still got bitten quite badly.
But overall I would give it 8 out of 10

A very convenient camp site suited for those who want to explore the hills, lochs and Glens.
Lovely walks in the area without having to ascend the adjacent Munros.
Delightful cruise on Loch Lomond. Excellent base from where to explore the area.
Local services suited our needs, very good pub just down the road, petrol station on the doorstep.
Radio signal is poor on the site had to rely on digital radio.
Price is very good value and the amenities were good.

We liked everything, facing Loch long, Cafe on site, lovely, helpful lady,
Good sized pitch with electric, hot showers, most of all good price.
Well done to all the staff.

Excellent site, with cafe on site, 6 restaurants/pubs within minutes off site.
6amp provided perfect for our needs, showers are really good.
Good walks in surrounding area, 10 minute drive to Loch Lomond.
Would stay again

Good stop for the night
Not bad at all
Perfect views and next to the petrol station for a fill up.
A nice private bit for the tents so you weren’t next to the camper vans which we liked.

We were given all the info we needed prior to arrival (latest arrival time, cash only, £1 coin for showers, 6amp hookup), allowing us to arrive in time and with the necessary means to pay!
Toilets and showers were always clean and well supplied. A yale lock and key are used to secure these from use by the general public. This seemed to work well.
We were in Arrochar for the Loch Long Jetty Assn 10k trail run, which starts and finishes approx 400m from the site.
We visited the Village Inn for dinner, bought supplies from Braeside Stores, and had a lochside drink on Ben Arthur's Bothy terrace - all of which were very good and also within easy walking distance.
Departure time on Sunday morning was relaxed (by 11 am) and we spent the day climbing the nearby Ben Arthur/The Cobbler.
We missed out on a cuppa at the Olive Branch (Part of the campsite reception and shop) having not checked Sunday closing times, which was a shame as they had a good selection of cakes when we handed the key in on departure.
I am sure we will be back.

A nice campsite opposite a nice Loch.
Facilities were pretty good and staff we spoke to were really nice.
Would stay again.
No play park for children if you wanted it but was dog friendly.
