 First stop after arriving in Santander unfortunately the weather was horrific and cold which does not give the best impression. Staff gave us a very warm welcome despite the weather. Good shop I never used the shower block as it wasn't warm enough for me but there did seem to be plenty but even in April the site was quiet and not all blocks where open. It does seem to be a stopover point but it was ok for that. Don't follow sat nav as it will take you through a park which the road through has been closed to vehicles. It wasn't too far from the town but we didn't venture in the town on foot just drove through. So didn't really get a fair impression. Would use again as stopover.

Site difficult to find following sat nav as there are many road works in Burgos. Best to approach via A1 autovia.
Site one of few open in Northern Spain during winter. Staff very helpful and friendly. Didn't book but this time of year almost impossible not to get pitch as site very quiet.
Some brits on site, seems to be used as staging post off the Sanatader ferry. Most people there had European vans.
Several toilet blocks on site with only one open. Not the cleanest or most inviting have come across. Didn't try them out. The only drinking water was from a tap, via a hose, immediately adjacent to motorhome WC emptying point. Decided to boil all water prior to any consumption.
WC empty point in the toilet block overflowed when cassette emptied next morning and not much in it from one nights use.
Has a pool which was closed but likley to be busy in summer. WiFi on site very good value 2 euros for one night 3 for one week and 4 euros for two weeks.
Would only use again as staging post.

Very few sites open in Northern Spain in winter so we aimed for this one as approx 2 /12 hours from ferry port of Santander.
Sat Nav took us to what was a large park - following the road through we came to a dead end. Apparently lots of new road changes - so ignore Sat Nav and continue on road past park - site 1 mile on new road.
Large site, holds up to 300 units. When we stayed several units there, mostly UK vans and campers. 4 toilet blocks, only 1 open. Facilities maybe a bit old but very clean and comfortable. Showers were piping hot and best water pressure ever on a site we have found.
Reception extremely helpful and friendly. Wifi available for €2 per night.
There was a shop on site, also a swimming pool. Site leads onto a forest park with plenty of cycling, walks etc.
We paid €18 for 2 adults with ehu. A good site which will be busier in summer but a great stopover point for Northern Spain all year round. Would recommend.
