 Fairly peaceful site set in the grounds of an old hospital. We were on CS pitch as we're Camping and Caravan Club members. Not much of a view though.
The field was surrounded by high security fencing and trees but it felt secure and resonated with the sound of birds.
We asked for a hardstanding pitch with EHU but were put on grass. Doesn't look like there's a choice if you're a Camping and Caravan Club member, so bear this in mind if you book as there's no difference in price anyway.
The hard standing area was very busy though and looked like it catered more for large families and groups. There was another more open field with a few tourers which looked a bit quieter. But didn't notice if EHU was available there.
Warden was friendly and helpful. Didn't use facilities as we have our own so can't comment on cleanliness etc. Clubhouse is open to none members of the sports club. Clean and spacious inside and drinks reasonably priced.

Cracking site, great for families and couples.
Social club nearby with toilets and showers.
Quiet and well run, great to see families enjoying life again.

No dislikes at all.
Campsite was spacious, immaculate & owners very friendly. Shower & toilet blocks spotless.
The 12 acre wood on the site was fantastic. Plenty of walks in the area.
Will certainly be returning to this site.

Lovely site, really enjoyed this weekend.
Had a few drinks in the social club, prices for drink and food are pretty cheap.
Will be booking again in August.

Brilliant place. Clean and tidy. Helpful site steward.
Good prices at the bar plenty space to set up so not over crammed

Absolutely lovely, great place, great facilities and good value.
Staff couldn't do enough to help and we were made to feel very welcome, cracking country pub around the corner -

Really nice site. Friendly staff. Clean toilets.
Didn't go in the club house. Was a lovely little walk to the pub.
Only criticism is that the toilets and showers don't open till 1pm when club house is open.
Would highly recommend and will definitely go back

Without doubt great facilities.
The club house and food was outstanding.
The proprietors will do anything to please.
Definitely going back to stay again. 💯 percent deserves a visit.
Only 30 minutes to Blackpool. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Another fantastic stay at this special place.
David the warden is very pleasant and happily gives advice. He keeps the Site very clean well organised.
Pitches large. Very well organised site in a beautiful village.
Great social club lots of out door table and chairs under large marques.
Can’t wait to go back next month. Highly recommended

Great little find. Last minute BH booking. The site has a social club and bowling green. Walks on the door step if you want.
Local pub, very inviting serves great food.
The campsite warden David is very accommodating, enjoyed our stay.
