Spent a week on this site, very friendly site next to Knock hatch kids farm/Adventure site.
Staff very pleasant, lay out of site is a field with lake fenced off at bottom of site and toilet/showers at top. Washing up facilities are two sinks with cold running water.
Nice surrounding area for walking, fairly close to shops (couple of miles to town center Tesco Co-op) and not to far from coast or Drusilla's wildlife park.
Wife and 3 girls and myself all enjoyed our stay and half price admission into Knockhatch farm/adventure land.
Would use again,

Left it a bit late to book our bank holiday weekend away, but found Knockhatch. As others have said, a little site that is being developed all of the time. We had concerns over the availability of facilities on a busy bank holiday weekend. There are currently only two showers. Two urinals and one toilet in the gents and only three in the ladies.
The site owners did a wonderful job keeping the facilities clean and everyone seemed to space out using the showers and there was never a queue.
There were only hookups down one side of a mainly level field.
The washing up facilities are effectively two sinks with cold water only under a canopy near the toilet block.
I guess that the owners are improving things as the money comes in. This has the makings of a great little site on an interesting leisure development. Activity/farm park - dry slope skiing - quad bikes - paint balling etc etc
Hope that it continues to improve

Good fairly new little site which as long as the facilities improve with demand will be a real gem in the future, at the moment the toilets and showers are all that limit the place really, they were however always clean for the whole weekend.
Right on the doorstep to a great day out for young children with discounted tickets for the one child.
No childs area as such but they all just accumulated in the middle made loads of new friends and played football cricket and chase.
Limited hookups currently but are being added to all the time.
All in all a lovely weekend with friendly people on a clean tidy and most importantly a safe feeling site.

Just returned from a 2 night break for the Whitsun bank holiday. Having left it to the last minute, I only had limited choices. Having made an e-mail enquiry I got a prompt response and phoned to confirm the booking (no advance deposit required!).
The facilities are as described by the previous reviewers - basic. I always found the ladies toilets clean, if a little compact. I'm told the mens were slightly more hit and miss with an odd arrangement with the sinks and urinals. Cold water washing up sinks were clean everytime we used them. The showers were clean and hot but I think that may depend on the time you use them. There was no 'business' sized bin on site so all the rubbish was just piled up in a heap which was a bit unsightly.
The site is fine for a couple of nights but don't know if I would use it for a longer stay. Owners were helpful and polite.

3 adults & 3 small children, with electric hook up. Great site, showers are hot, toilets are clean, the owners are very helpful, they recommended two takeaway restaurants that would deliver to the site, we tried the chinese and it was excellent.
The children played safely in the middle of the field as all the pitches were round the edge. You can hear the owls from the adventure park and the next door lambs at night.
Camping includes reduced tickets to the adventure park, adults get in free with every full paying child. Also reduced skiing tickets.
Would recommend it for a short break, we stayed 3 nights or longer if exploring the surrounding area.
The site doesn't have a shop but Hailsham shops are just across the roundabout at the parks entrance.

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford
Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

I spent one night here over the bank holiday.
The camping field is a good size and you may pitch where you like. It was not too busy considering it was a bank holiday and the field is good for the children to play in.
The facilities are very basic and not particularly clean. I don't think that they would be sufficient in peak season.
Great for knockhatch park though and you get discounted entry when camping.

We went for a last minute one nighter with two small children. It was brilliant, great 'real ' camping. They allowed us to have a small campfire as long as we used the blocks supplied, we hope people continue to respect that one small rule so as not to spoil it for future fellow campers. It is very basic for campers but that is part of the charm, they plan to extend the facilities in the not too distant future, so a longer stay would be possible in the future. We look forward to our next stay !

Just spent Aug bank holiday weekend here. Don't use the postcode if you're using satnav, go to Knockhatch Adventure Park on the A22, its within the grounds of the park. Good little site, level, sheltered by trees, but there are also power lines across one corner of the field so kite flying is inadvisable. Basic toilets, no hot water or showers. 1 water pipe stand and washing up facility, chemical waste disposal. For a bank holiday it wasn't crowded though I suspect that's because its a fairly new site. There is a fishing lake at the end of the field which you can fish in. You also get a free child voucher for the adventure park, which our daughter enjoyed even though we picked a time when it decided to get very windy and rain! No play area for children, but our 8 year old daughter didn't seem to mind, as her and her new friends had plenty of space for ball games and running around. There was always someone on site if you needed them and they were very helpful.
The only negative was the road through the adventure park to the campsite. We found it quite narrow in places especially towing a caravan and someone coming the other way!
Would recommend this site.

New site, quite a nice set-up with a good open field which was well drained, firm and level. They are obviously still improving the site but could be a real gem in the future.
Good basic facilities but limited no hot water, Ladies toilets/washbasins in particular are limited just two toilet cubicles and one wash basin.
Oh and don't go to the post-code if you're using a satnav, it took us to a dead-end lane with a big scary dog! Instead head for Knockhatch Adventure Park.

I have just spent a few nights at this site and was very pleased with my choice. The facilities are basic but were clean and the owners were both very friendly and were at hand throughout day if needed. We were entitled to discount vouchers to the adventure park next door which was a big hit with the kids and there was certainly enough to keep them occupied for a couple of days. I was surprised to be the only people there considering its location, I think this will change when it becomes better known.
