What a great site, we have just returned from a week in our folding camper at this lovely site, facilities were very clean, toilets were checked regularly, showers use tokens 50p each, they give you about 6 minutes.

Washing up area is also houses tourist information, including a conservation walk around the farm, wet weather activities locally, dog walking info and enough days out information to keep you busy for months!

We arrived at ten o’clock at night after been held up on the M5, we were warmly greeted by Sylvia, who was very pleased to see us and concerned as to what had happened to us.

The site is situated along miles of narrow lanes, all I can say is if you are towing the best route is via Bridport then take the B3162, this has by far the widest approach road, and the route we took home which was much easier than going through Crewkerne!

We pitched our folding camper in the tenting field backed up against the hedge and south facing (hoping for some sun) we had electric hook up and there were only a few tents there. We didn’t have much sun, but lots of high wind and rain and had to invest in an awning tie down kit from a great little camping shop in Bridport. Thankfully nothing was damaged (we have camped in our folding camper for years and have never had blustery wind quite like it)

The camping field is not very free draining and we were worried we might get stuck trying to tow off the site, but Malcolm had treated the muddiest parts for extra traction, and we had no difficulties.

Its worth making use of the local farm shops, one even has its own café/restaurant, where we bought some lovely local grown produce and there are some great independent butchers, bakers and small shops in Bridport

We will definitely return to this site, even towing along the narrow roads, it was quite, very clean and in beautiful countryside, what more could you want, oh, maybe some sunshine. I did ask our teenagers who came with us and they said wi fi, but that’s just teenagers for you, we came to get away from all that!

Just returned from a bank holiday weekend at Bluntshay. The approach to the site (from both directions) is very narrow and you have to hope you don't meet anyone on the single track road! The entrance to the site is also tight but manageable.

The actual area for caravans is on a strip of land running alongside the fields partitioned off by a wire fence. This made it quite awkward to reverse your van into the desired spot, however the owner came out and helped us reverse.

Once in the site is very quiet and has outstanding views. There is a porta cabin with toilets and showers and a separate area in the cabin for washing pots. You had to buy a 50p token for a 5 minute shower, which we only used once as it didn't seem to last 5 minutes and there wasn't a lot of space to change (as unisex).

But facilities were spotless and all you needed for a weekend. In the cabin was a very informative stand with lots of leaflets and info for visiting and exploring the surrounding area.

There is a lovely walk around the stunning farm and the owners (Sylvia and Malcolm) are very helpful and friendly. Dogs are aloud on site but when we were there there were some running around off the lead which wasn't so good as we found dog mess by our van one morning!

There are fields in front of the strip for vans which you are able to walk through and would make a useful play area for kids.

All in all a lovely rural farm site with basic facilities and very clean facilities and very friendly owners. Would return if in area.

We spent 8 nights at this campsite, we had only planned to for 2 then move on but it was so peaceful and friendly (and affodable when we were on a tight budget) that we decided to stay! Good level pitch, clean facilities and friendly, helpful owner. Affordable too! It's about a five minute drive to the lovely seaside town of Charmouth. We will definitely be going back! Children have the freedom to run about and can help the owner feed the geese! You can buy homemade cider, honey and eggs too!

Just returned from six nights at this lovely campsite. The site is well kept although facilities were basic.

The hot water was from a geezer and really was luke warm. The showers were 50p and you needed a token which were available at the farmhouse. These were hot but not much room in the shower cubicle.

The only real problem with this site is that to get to it the road is single track as mentioned in previous reviews and used by the farmers in the area.

We would however recommend this site to anyone touring the area. Their is loads of information available in the kitchen area, worth having a look at.

A great site run by very friendly owners. We visited when the weather was pretty poor but site was nicely sheltered by a large hedge. Toilets and showers were spotless. Owners very friendly and helpful. They even visited us with a new lamb they had so the kids could see it! The site is fairly small with 5 hardstandings for campers/caravans but quite a large field at the end for tents which our group was in. There is also the most impressive collection of local information for the surrounding area so very easy to find something to do! Only point to consider if visiting with a large caravan is the roads leading to the site are all pretty small but we had no issues at all as were all in cars.

This is a C & CC certified site so we weren't expecting much. However, it is a lovely, well-kept little site, and so quiet at night as there are no main roads nearby. The units are spaced out nicely and a hedge keeps the worst of the wind off. The site has a very small, clean toilet block with two showers (token operated). There is plenty of hot water and a place for washing up. There is also the best collection of tourist information I have ever seen - every destination in a 50 mile radius seemed to be included.

The owners were very friendly and were happy to show us around the farm (which contains some interesting features, including a cider mill). It is a lovely area, would recommend a brewery tour at Palmers in Bridport (free samples too). Weymouth and Abbotsbury an easy drive, Lyme Regis isn't far either. Dorchester seemed nice, but the museums were expensive for the size of them. Bridport is a great town, and only a very short drive from the site. We will return.

We stayed here for a week in August. The site is typical of these small certificated sites, where it is basically a partitioned off part of larger field. There is some hardstanding pitches with hookup and some grassy pitches, and the site is mostly level (more sloping on the grassy section)

The site has a pleasant outlook, and is located off a generally quiet road (more on that later). The facilities are basic, the toilet/wash block is a portacabin which has three toilets and two showers, and a wash up area. THe showers are metered (50p for 7. 5 minutes) but were good and hot. The block as a whole was kept very clean, but it's a bit aged.

The lady who runs the site is very friendly and helpful, and gave some good advice about where to visit in the local area. She works very hard to keep everything spic and span.

Downside - the main one is the location, which is lovely and rural but means you have to drive down around three miles of mostly single vehicle wide road to get to it - fine if you're tenting, but if you're towing then you better hope you don't meet anything big coming the other way (like we did, twice, as big tractors and agricultural equipment use the road a lot). There are passing places but it's not for the faint hearted.
