Ok the background first. We are a 4 child family with a big Hartford XXL tent.
The site is flat and well laid out. The washrooms are clean and there is a drinking water supply behind them. There is no laundry but there are washing up sinks. The owner is helpful and lent us a hookup as ours was faulty.
The site has a great children's play area but the only downside to the site is the main road.
The area by the play area is a little close to the road and the lorries passing by are relentless all night but after the first night you get used to it.
All said and done a very nice clean and pleasant site. Will go again.
Incredibly friendly site. Kids are well tolerated and enjoy the freedom of the park, including a well built adventure play ground. Dogs are not ridiculed and as long as they are well controlled they are welcomed also. Access to the most amazing scenery and walks are on the door step.
The pitches are very spacious, level and well maintained. The toilet block is nothing fancy but adequate. Only two water points, both by the the toilet block area and only one waste water disposal which doubles as the chemical loo disposal. ( Its a raised manhole). How ever the whole site is in the process of refurbishment so this matter may already be being addressed.
There is no shop on site, but there is a spar at the petrol garage virtually opposite the site. The site is off the main national speed limit road, so I wouldn't advise children going there unsupervised. The local pub is through the back of the site along a public walking route. The scenery and wildlife wet your appetite for a pint and is worth the 20 min walk. We had a fab holiday and will be visiting again.
A very pleasant well located site with very easy access off the main A46. The site is spacious and well laid out. It appears that the owner is making many landscape and aesthetic improvements. The play area for children is large and within view of the site. Toilet facilities are satisfactory and were clean. There was a little road noise from the main road. The owner of the site was a very pleasant man who very politely booked me in when I arrived at 11.00 which many sites wont do and there was no mention of time to leave albeit a quite time of year.
We arrived to a friendly reception and help to connect the hook up even though we chose to go int the middle of the field, you cant ask for more really. The site has a footpath that leads very nicely to the local pub 'the star' and this was explained to us when we arrived. Evesham is around 5 miles on a straight road and easy to get to, there is a large Tesco as well as a smaller somerfield and other shops. You can buy fresh free range eggs at reception too! the showers were adequate and hot, although I would advise you take more than one 50p if you want to linger a while. There are cleaning materials and a mop and bucket to clean the floor in the shower room before you use it, however, I would suggest a small stool or chair in the showers to stop you soaking your clothes when you try to get dressed after the shower or alternatively a shower curtain. All in all, we stayed two nights, it was peaceful and its a good all round site with good, basic facilities, there is a very good childrens play area too. I would consider visiting again. For a party of 3 adults and one child with electric, it was £19.50 per night, with a £5 deposit you get back if you vacate your pitch by 12 noon on your day of departure.
Bredon Vale Caravan And Camping overlooks Bredon Hill and the Malverns, and is only 25 minutes from the Cotswolds, Stratford Upon Avon and Evesham Vale Light Railway. Set in an orchard of over 100 fruit trees, this dark-skies site has tent, caravan and motorhome pitches, grass or hardstanding, and optional EHU. For glampers there are log pods, a vintage caravan and a bell tent.
Facilities include a heated amenity block with toilets, showers and a family room, information point, laundry room and a washing up area. Natural kid's play area with some outdoor games to borrow. Shop with campsite essentials, and fresh produce often available. Local pub is just a 15 minute walk from the site. For extra supplies Tesco and Chadbury Farm Shop and Cafe are both just a five minute drive from the site.

We have visited this site a number of times over the past three or four years, usually for a weekend or long weekend and we love it here. The main impressions are detailed in earlier reviews. Beautiful coutryside, walk to the pub, friendly welcome and things to do in nearby Evesham. We feel its simplicity is its main asset and particularly like the play area for the kids, which is just enough to help keep them occupied while we're cooking meals.
We never noticed the noise from the road until we visited with friends and they mentioned it. It still doesn't bother us, however. I suppose it just depends upon the individual.
The toilet facilities are clean and quite adequate, one reason we feel comfortable in returning.
On our latest visit we were surprised by the £5 refundable late departure fee, which you can claim back if you leave before 12.00 noon. This was a new and unwelcome feature. We have quite a large camping set up and we felt under pressure to get everything packed away quickly. Sure, you can organise yourself to get it done quickly, but when you're just visiting for the weekend the last morning is an important part of the experience. It would be very irritating to forfeit £5 for overrunning by a few minutes.
My partner, little girl (aged 4), and myself visited this site for a couple of nights in June 08.
We have just started back into camping, and were looking for a nice site to get away and relax for a while, and having a nice play area for the child.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and met the owner who was very friendly and helpful, and had a good choice of pitch for our tent. We could have pitched in the upper field area which is more sheltered and further away from the main road, but chose a nice spot near the Childs play area, which has a good selection of swings, and climbing objects all made from wood, and looks really natural and not out of place, It even has a badminton net and a small football pitch with undersized goals. The very little road noise didn't bother us at all, in fact the birds were probably louder in the morning, and that’s what camping's about, getting closer to nature.
There's two toilet / shower blocks and a wash room area with two sinks for campers to wash up after meals, and all were very clean and tidy, there's also a bp garage on the main road opposite, for basic supplies, although we found a great village store five minuets drive away that had some great home made pastries, cheese's, and meats, and there's a nice pub ten minuets walk away.
Ok, the weather was great on our few days, but would definitely recommend a stay, and would have no hesitation to book again in the future.
Had a lovely weekend here. The boys aged 2 and 7 hooked up with other kids and had a lot of fun playing football, looking down rabbit holes with torches and balancing on a big seesaw. We pitched near the play area which was perfect for keeping an eye on the kids but there was the constant noise of traffic although it couldn't be seen. Everything was clean and pleasant and the owner was very friendly. We would definitely return but would consider finding a pitch further away from the road.
The surrounding area and views of the hills from the site are lovely, as is the short walk to Ashton Under Hill through the fields behind the campsite where there is a pub and many thatched cottages. We used the site as a base for visiting Warwick, Stratford and Evesham and you are close to many other towns. There is a small toilet block of reasonable standard and a handy covered 'porch' for washing up.
The major downfall, the reason I wouldn't return, is the noise from the A46. The site borders the road and in a tent it was very noticeable all through the day and night.
Very nice site, staff helpful and pleasant. Good playarea and toilets kept clean. The site lent us an extension lead and gave a number for a curry takeaway. We would stop there again. There was also a good pub within local walking distance serving very nice food. Even though weather was grotty we still had an enjoyable stay.
