Just returned from this site. It is based on a farm the piglets are cute but stink. Spent 4 nights here. Its was very noisy in morning and late at night due to some groups of youngsters complained but nothing seemed to happen. It is a big site but very unkept. Grass not cut and hadn't been for sometime. Toilets were in an old cow shed very dirty and only seemed to get cleaned in morning. Again could do with updating. Also as they allowed camp fires this causes a lot of smoke in evenings so made it hard to enjoy sitting outside. Litter seemed to be picked up by a chap in his 4x4 driving round with a long stick. Did not see him get out once. Toilet block constantly blocking up no hot water most of time. And last of all be careful on the tracks into and on site. So many holes its like the surface of the moon. Sorry but wont be coming back but on the plus side owner seems friendly
I love this site! we've stayed here loads of times and hopefully will stay loads more, the owners are very relaxed, the site is massive and you can just pitch wherever you like, it's a very dog friendly site, there are plenty of toilets and showers in one big block (the showers use tokens that run out quickly so we've learnt to shower in super quick time!) these can be quite a walk away due to the size of the site, but it's all good exercise! The surrounding woods are great for walks and for the children to play and explore, campfires are allowed, firewood/kindling is available to buy from the farmhouse also marshmallows for toasting! There are many local villages around to buy food etc or visit a pub! There is an old fashioned train station about a mile or so away, easily walkable even with small children, that takes you to some of the local seaside towns, Holt is definitely worth a visit, If I had to choose only one campsite to stay in it would be this one!
We pitched on the EHU field for 10 days. This was more spaced out. Those in the other fields seemed a lot closer together at the weekend, particularly the 'campfire' field.
We stayed the week before the schools broke up, and the weather was lovely. Quiet during the week, weekends were much busier. The very hot weekend was noisy, but quietened down after about 10. 30pm.
Found the shower/toilet block clean, even at weekends. Never had to queue for shower/loo/washing up. Water was always warm, though shower sometimes got too hot for our 3 year old. 1 token enough only for a very quick shower. Child steps to reach sinks etc was a really welcome touch.
A lovely area of the country, plenty to do, lots of walks from the site. Steam Trains a massive hit with our son. We walked to the station 3 days running to see the trains.
Saw mother pig and 13 tiny piglets, our son was highly delighted with these and we had to visit them morning and night.
Overall, a lovely visit, we will be back, but will avoid school holidays.
We stayed for 4 nights from 31/5 and totally loved this site. It was quite busy for the first 2 days as still half term but the toilet block was more than adequate and always clean. My only small critiscm is that I found it hard to keep all my clothes totally dry when showering as there was no curtain and just 2 hooks on the door but the showers themselves were hot and powerful. 2 tokens were sufficient even with washing my long hair.
The area was brilliant and superb for walkers and/or dog owners. We walked miles and everyday a different track took us somewhere different. We took the steam train from weybourne to sheringham which was fun and walked back through the woods. On another day we walked to sheringham park and down to the gazebo (viewing point) then down to the beach and back along the cliffs and through the woods again. A long and very enjoyable walk which our retreiver loved. There is also a lovely walk around kelling heath with some great views so loads to do.
This was a basic site with no fancy playgrounds but the kids played in the woods and in the field and seemed to be having lots of fun making up their own games just as it should be. The camp fires were also welcomed.
All in all a great site and a reasonable price. Thanks for a truly lovely weekend Breck Farm. We will be back soon!l
We stayed on the woodland field in our touring caravan while friends pitched their touring caravan on the electric field. Between us we have 7 dogs and not once did we feel uncomfortable with how many we had. There were dogs everywhere! It does say to keep dogs on leads but several people had their dogs off lead but they were all so well behaved that we didn't experience any issues.
The site was so relaxed and on our field the quiet time was 10pm and I can honestly say that by about 9-10pm each night the field had gone quiet. We had a campfire each night and took our own wood. No charge for having a campfire unlike other sites we have visited. You're told not to take wood from the wood for the fires but everyone around us was and the owner knew and said it was fine as long as you didn't make a mess on the grass with chopping the wood.
Toilet/shower block is in a large barn and is basic but always clean. Plenty of toilets and showers! Showers cost £1 because tokens are 50p each and you need 2.
You can go for walks in the wood and dog friendly beaches are 5-10 minutes away in the car. You can also walk down the road and hop onboard the North Norfolk Railway.
Have recommend site to friends and will definitely go back!
Can only reiterate the recent reviewers' feelings. First time caravanners on our first holiday in the Old Girl with our two collies, and if we find a more pleasant, friendly and generally well-equipped site than Breck Farm, we will be very lucky indeed. If you want 'posh' then not for you, otherwise strongly recommended to anyone who wants a site that makes them feel as relaxed as they would feel at home.
Basic, but friendly, the site is an open field and you can pitch anywhere. The field is flat and well drained, and huge so you can choose to be near the top where families mainly camped, or right at the back where it seemed to be more of a party atmosphere. The field is big enough not to be disturbed by those enjoying a late night!
There are woods along the sides and plenty of space for kids to run around, and because it's large there are lots of playmates around. No play park, but they don't need one as the field and woods do a much better job.
Plenty of showers and toilets, the site wasn't full when we were there so no problems with the cleanliness as others seem to have suggested.
Two small freezers are supplied for ice blocks, and these were crammed full and hard to use. Because there were only 2 and such a large number of people were using them, they spent more time open than closed so our blocks never froze. A couple of large chest freezers would easily solve this. (This may have changed since we visited. )
The farmhouse had basic farm provisions for sale each morning: eggs, wood, home made jams and freshly picked veg, and it's not far to the nearest supermarket.
It's a good basic site with no frills, very reasonably priced, we would definitely go back.

Showers are tokens fifty pence a shelf for cloths would finish things off just a few more little touches and would be hard to find better all in all a good weekend. Clear instuctions on arrival please.
Flatt ground was a bonus don't park to close to the bins has wasp splattin becomes weekend sport
Thanks to the owner being quick off the mark loud music being played by inconsiderate campers was soon turned off and stayed off thank you.
We spent seven nights at Breck Farm, with the August bank holiday weekend in the middle of the stay, in a large tent with electrical hook up.
We arrived when the site was relatively quiet and had loads of space in which to pitch. There are no marked pitches so you're simply asked to keep 3m from other tents. This was easily achieved as there was plenty of room, although this may well have been much more challenging for those booking an EHU over the bank holiday weekend, which was considerably busier.
The site is basic but great value for money: plenty of space; right next to Bodham Wood for walking the dog (for whom there's no extra charge - such a nice change from so many sites where it's cheaper to kennel the dog than to take him with us); plentiful showers and loos. You do get what you pay for - or rather, you don't get what you don't pay for - so if you're after tarmac roads, playgrounds and evening entertainment, you'll be disappointed. However, if you want a friendly family site on a working farm, it'll hit the spot.
I had read the reviews of the loos and shower facilities and had very low expectations (and a large stock of baby wipes to do the job in-tent, if necessary). The facilities are inside a barn, so it's painted breeze-block walls and visible plumbing, but there were abundant loos, cleaned regularly, and I didn't once queue for a shower. I often found myself having to pick up discarded loo paper from the floors after other campers - but any issues with blocked loos etc were dealt with promptly after just a word at the farmhouse.
Sure, showers got muddy - but that's what the plentiful mops/buckets were there for. I enjoyed a self-cleaned shower every day with very little inconvenience. The water pressure was great and a 50p token was perfect for showering, with two tokens needed if I wanted to wash my hair. I took my stuff with me in a water-resistant bag and a bath mat so I had a dry area on which to stand after showering and it worked absolutely fine. My daughter experienced some issues with tokens seeming not to work, but this turned out to be because previous shower users had interfered with the water stopcocks - presumably to pause their shower whilst shampooing - and had not restored them to their proper position.
There were worktops, mirrors and plug sockets to make for easy hair drying/straightening. My only real complaint is that there was only one hand dryer in the ladies' loos and no other towels, so always a queue to dry hands.
We didn't queue once for washing up sinks, but the water was usually only just warm, which was not too helpful, and not all the drainers had trays so the experience could be a wet one.
There were a number of water points dotted around the EHU site, so we didn't have to walk far to top up the Aquaroll. There's a disposal point for grey water outside the room for emptying chemical loos, to the side of the shower block. It might have been more helpful to have a drain for grey water at every water point. The chemical disposal could do with a larger hopper to avoid splash when emptying and higher pressure hose for cleaning out loos, but was perfectly functional.
We needed to wash a sleeping bag and used the laundry room, which contains industrial machines: a washer (top loader) and tumble dryer, plus chair and worktop on which to fold clothes. You borrow the key to the room from the farmhouse and pay after use (so no need for correct coinage) - a very reasonable £2 for a wash and £3 for a dry. Machine capacity is huge, so great value for money. We were fortunate not to have to wait for the key.
The site is usually quiet by 10pm, which was really appreciated as our dog is on full alert at night and it helped to keep him calm and quiet. However, the bank holiday weekend was very busy and the site remained noisy well beyond this time on the Saturday and Sunday evenings, with lots of chatter and laughter and groups of kids running past our tent, and a loud band. I do appreciate people were just enjoying the evenings, but this proved problematic for us trying to keep the dog quiet. I'd have liked the curfew to have been more strongly encouraged for that weekend. Campfires weren't allowed on EHU sites for obvious fire safety reasons.
Weybourne is a pebble beach - great for fishing, hopeless for kids - but there are plenty of other beach options in easy reach. There are plenty of local info sheets available on site, along with the site owners' recommendations for best beaches, pubs, eateries etc. We love Byfords in Holt (we've been going there for a decade) for everything from coffee and cake to a full meal or take away deli/bakers, and there's an unlikely looking fish & chip shop in Salthouse that does the best freshly cooked fish & chips I've had in a long time. Get value for your National Trust membership at Blickling and Felbrigg.
We'll definitely be going back - but might think twice about a bank holiday.
Very relaxed and laid back campsite. You are allowed to pitch your tent anywhere so we had loads of room. There is a noise restriction from 10 o clock which is lovely if you have kids. Only a short drive from the sea and Holt is well worth a visit. Dogs are welcome. Another plus is they allow campfires which made our camping trip. We enjoyed this site so much that we went back a week later! There are plenty of toilets and showers- just remember to buy tokens for the showers!
Friendly, well organised campsite. We spent a week here over the bank holiday weekend and loved it.
It's a big site and we managed to choose a quiet spot where the only noise was from cows mooing in the neighbouring field (it is a working farm as well as a campsite) and that was just fine. Lots of flexibility about how and where to pitch your tent.
One big loo block that they take a fair bit of trouble to keep as clean as possible. (They put out a bunch of mops and buckets near the showers in the hope that people will mop after themselves, but it's a bit of a losing battle. The buckets full of icky water are more of a hazard than a help. They would probably be better off just asking campers to leave their shoes outside the shower in the first place). Lots of loos meant that my kids were never caught short when they left it a bit late!
We chose the campsite because they do campfires. Turns out you can't have campfires in the field with electric hookups. So we were allowed to use the field behind our tent instead. That worked out just fine.
Breakfast van was a lifesaver on at least 2 occasions when we had no food. Delicious food too.
Loads to do in that part of the country. We reckon we could come back at least twice more without having to go to any of the attractions more than once (though we will, because they are so good!)

Well, what can I say! This campsite was a complete pleasure to stay at. The views were breath taking, especially at sunset and a lot of free range hens knocking about. Local produce and free range hens available for the shop.
Facilities were basic, but a few reviews on here are saying the toilets were blocked or showers a disgrace. To this I say maybe its not the sites fault, but the cretins that leave them in this state. True enough some shower cubicles were muddy at times, but mops and buckets were provided to clean up after that person who left it in that state before you!
Electric pitches were generous, not sure about the non-electric. But it seemed ok! Local pub at the end of the road (The Ship) seemed nice but they didn't serve food all day, we always seemed to miss it. The beach was pebbled and not very nice but other beaches are available for a short drive.
All in all a top campsite for the price you pay which ever way you look at it!
Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable 10 days at Breck Farm. The site is basic and at times seemingly disorganised, and for me that adds to its charm.
Surrounded by farm land and forests, the site and area is nice and dark at night, illuminated by the lights of the USAF, who like the area for night flights. The setting is reached by a relatively narrow road from either the Cromer Road or the Coast Road, so you'll have to watch out for those drivers who don't know how to drive courteously.
The site takes all forms of accommodation, on three fields, one field with an early quiet time, one with a later quiet time and another with electric hook-up for tents and caravans. I like the idea of a quiet field, though it would have been nice if it was enforced a little tighter.
The roadways around the site were poor and you have to navigate around carefully.
You can pitch anywhere, though you are asked to keep at least a 3m radius from other tents, however, that wasn't always enforced.
Campfires are allowed in wheel rims provided, with the site selling wood, fire lighters and marshmallows.
There is a very large toilet and shower block, though I do wonder how some people don't seem to know how to flush a toilet after themselves!
The weekend in the middle of our stay was very busy, with lots of 'weekenders' though the atmosphere was still pleasant.
The site charges a flat rate of £8 per tent and then £2 per person, though a second tent for family members was charged at £1. 50 per night, meaning that you get excellent value for money.
If you have teenagers, you might want to be aware that the site has very poor mobile/3G coverage, but that seemed to be common thoughout North Norfolk.
There are are plenty of attractions in the area, crabbing at Blakeney, Seal watching from Moreston. But our favourite was the coffee man at Salthouse Beach, fresh capucinno from the back of a van!
Overall, a brilliant site, and we would certainly return.
This was our first visit to Breck Farm, and arriving mid week we were made to feel very welcome. The site is basic and functional however hot water seems to be in short supply even at quiet periods which was a nuisance, and the lack of temperature controls on the showers was a bit of an issue with the youngsters.
The bins were overflowing with litter blowing across the site, upon speaking to the management this was quickly dealt with by sending litter pickers out to remove lose rubbish, and the bins were emptied next day. Campers seemed very tightly packed in on the wood field on the Friday evening which made us glad we'd chosen the Meadow field instead!
On a positive note, the location is only a short distance from Cromer, Sherringham and Holt, and is right next to the woods at Bodham We would still have no hesitation in returning in the future.
