Love this little campsite. Fantastic if you like simple basic camping .. basic facilities 2 loos 1 shower male/female ..more loos available if it gets busy. There are electric hookups available, and the farmers wife will freeze ice blocks for you 5p a time.
beautiful spot rural, looking over towards Devils Dyke, on a fine day you can see the para gliders taking off. Can fill up a bit at weekends, but we have camped here throughout the summer ..weekdays are quieter.. Its on a working farm, children love to visit the geese, hens and rabbits .. cows in the next field. Very useful little shop within walking distance which sells everything, also a decent pub which serves food as well : family friendly. 10 miles from Brighton ..close to worthing etc etc. Some wonderful walks over the south downs ,,,lovely pubs close by ..try `the only fulking pub in fulking ,,,,` good food good beer ..10 minute drive away ..I resisted posting for ages ..but we have had such pleasure from other sites ..thought it was only fair to share ...
If you want all singing and dancing showers clubhouss etc .not for you ..but glorious scenery and simple facilities ..you will love it ... and sssssoooooooo reasonable.

 August 2005
Went to Farmhouse Caravan and Camping during a busy weekend and it was packed out. However, it was a good atmosphere and as you could pitch fairly freely we didn’t feel hemmed in. Tents go to the bottom and middle of the field with the motorhomes and caravans taking the sides where there are hookups. Views of the surrounding countryside were very pleasant. The facilities as mentioned elsewhere are basic with the unisex toilet offering the best privacy. Showers are 75p and token operated and such an uninviting proposition we passed on this. The field is slightly sloping top to bottom and of medium length meadow grass, well trampled down. Small Dole is a little village, not particularly striking in terms of history. It does have however a very inviting pub, The Fox (formerly Fox and Hounds) with reasonably price meals, snacks and tasty beer. A Londis store is close to the site and has a very big stock of everything you might need, a cash machine, post office and lottery machine. The prices weren’t bad. There is a footpath to the south end of the village which takes you through Tottingham Woods and beyond that numerous footpaths for long or sort walks. We did an hours circuit and took in some very pleasant views. The wood is private off the path. Regrettably it did rain very hard on our second day and everywhere was soaked and wind blown. In between downpours I quickly checked some of the tariff. Tents with two people £6, extra adults £1, Gazebos £1 and most other extras 50p. I think hookup was £2 but I’m working from memory here. Very cheap all round.

We loved this site. Visited for a long weekend in July. Lovely views of Devils Dyke and across the South Downs. One large field situated well away from busy roads. Some hookups both side, Only set pitches were the hookups. Very basic facilities, 1 shower each men and women, 75p token for 5 minutes. 1 sink each. 1 washing up sink ...plus a drinking water tap. Farmers wife will freeze blocks for 5p. 2 resident friendly geese who wandered around the front of the house, ducks and hens contained in coops. If you time your showers and washing up away from peak times ..no problem. No playground no shop or clubhouse ..great for us. Pub and good little shop within 10 minutes walk. Brighton worthing etc within 15 minutes drive plus lots of lovely walks across the south downs. Heaven!

We've used this site for several years as a family base throughout the summer for the past 15 years. When I say family I mean ours, my parents-in law and many other branches of the family. There's plenty of space in the large field, for everyone.
It's quiet most of the time, but can get very busy during the holiday periods.
It's a good clean site with great views of the South Downs and access to Brighton within 15 minutes, our main reason for repeated visits.
Although we live in Brighton, this campsite gives us the feeling of being many miles away from home for very little travel time.

Very basic 1 shower for each sex and 2 loos. Cold water washing up basin. Fantastic views, quiet. £5.50 family tent no hook up per night, £7.50 with. Good family atmosphere. Would go again.

Ok, so it's Basic. But clean. Very friendly owners. The toilet block and wash up sink could do with being updated, but it is cheap - just over a fiver a night for 6 of us! Good flat field and fantastic views of South Downs and Devils Dyke ( A "Must Visit") The farm animals are no hassle - the cows come to be fed and the geese etc make their own way around. Thouroughly enjoyed it - loads of space to play and whilst facilities might not be as "Nice" as Downsview, the lack of hassle and location was miles better (see my report on Downsview)

SEVERAL TIMES IN LAST 20 YEARS
Pleasant basic farm site, addition of showers in recent years.
Long grass, sometimes cows as next door neighbours and occasional "stroppy" geese, but hey !, it's a farm.
Nice views to south downs.
Relaxing, I'll go back again.
