 What a lovely little campsite this is, the best we have stayed at so far, pitches a good size and lots of space for the children to play.
Toilet/shower block was great always clean and tidy, plug socket for my straighteners which was handy!
Nice area for washing up- again always clean. Freezer for freezing cool blocks was appreciated.
Nice play area for our children.
Good location for some fun days out by car, not much around the local village found one nice pub by the water.
Would return, thanks for a lovely stay.

Our holiday last May at Rose Farm was the 14th time we have been there. We go every year because Sue is so welcoming and helpful. We also love the over all cleanliness of the site and the facilities that are provided.
Our granddaughter loves the open spaces and play area, which we feel is very safe. We also like the fact that there is a security gate that is only opened with a key that is provided to each unit when you are booked in.
Every year we have been has seen some improvements, ie new showers, or picnic tables and benches placed around the site.
Altogether, Rose Farm is an excellent camp site and is the best we have ever visited. We thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

This was our first break away in our touring caravan. We couldn't have asked for a better site to start our journey. It was welcoming, clean, secure and the ground was pretty level for the van.
We all had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Based ourselves close to the shower block which enabled us to see the children playing on the play area. They had a excellent time making up stories and running around, so much freedom that they didn't want to go home!
The Henry the VIII pub just a short walk away served delicious food, we all had very full tummies when we left!
Tesco direct is nearby and there are so many other shops near Great Yarmouth that you are spoilt for choice.

Lovely!
Been here before and this time we were going with newcomers to the camping / caravanning world and wanted a small good site to take them to - we chose well!
Very warm welcome, very good and clean facilities, lovely hot shower (OK if I had to make one little comment the automatic lights in the toilet block went off whilst I was in the shower - if it was evening / night-time that might be a bit disconcerting!)
Lovely play area for the kids and large open field for them to run around on
Good pub for big well-priced meals within a very easy walk - handy if you're arriving later
Close to Gt Yarmouth and other lovely beaches - close to a Tesco Express if you need to shop when you arrive
Very very good site!

This site is the standard by which others should be judged ! so often UK sites are poorly presented or impersonal, but this site is spot on.
A somewhat unusual location at first glance, not the typical overlooking sea / lake / mountains etc., but well laid out with an interesting little walk to discover the site extremities.
There was a very friendly welcome despite it being 7.30 on a Sunday evening when I arrived and despite my race transporter being larger than Sue had expected I was escorted to the pitch and shown all the facilities en route.
The shower / toilets are first class and spotlessly clean at all times. The site was very busy with a caravan rally on the lower field but it was never under pressure as far as I could see. Sue was to be seen working all the time, either mowing the grass or helping guests, and it is this sort of attention to detail which makes the site so good.
The little reading room with free wifi was very pleasant and proved a haven against the rain and wind on one day I was there.
The local pub was friendly enough, the beer and food were OK, not haute cuisine or gastro pub, but the freshly made Steak pie was tasty and the Guinness cold. I also used the local Chinese takeaway, which despite other comments on here, was actually very good, tasty, reasonably priced and was delivered free to the site, a bonus on a wet night.
A taxi into Great Yarmouth was £9, and the bus back was £2.20. Beware of SatNav tours if coming from the north on the A47 / A12, you could be directed through a housing estate which has 6'6' wide chicanes. If you get to the roundabout where the A47 and A12 join, go straight down the A12 do not take the third exit from the roundabout towards the Macdonalds, you have been warned :)
A lovely site with a friendly welcome, what more could you want?

Our visit to Rose Farm was an unplanned one. We rang the site at last minute after ringing round some other sites but they were full. Our call was answered quickly and in a very helpful manner.
We wanted an electric pitch and was told that this would not be possible at first, but were then asked if the lead we had was long. We were kindly given a pitch that would have been non electric and told we could hook-up to an caravan pitch not to far away.
The site on arrival looked as expected and we were welcomed by the owner. We were shown personally to our pitch by the owner too which was very helpful.
The facilities on site were very clean. We only stayed for two nights and used the tent as a night base but even so our stay was lovely. I'm sure if we had stayed longer we would have used all the facilities available.
We hope to return to Rose Farm in the future and take our kids along with us too next time.

Although we had terrible weather - rain and wind. This is one of the best sites I have visited. However I would imagine it would depend on where you parked and how busy it was at the time.
We were there when it was very quite, in the field nearest to reception so we got the free wifi in our caravan. The toilets on that part of the site are great but they only have one shower but it is only a short walk down the site to the other block which is really shiny and new.
The field near reception caravans and tents park around in a circle but then the site turns into a single track roadway with caravans and tents each side, then it just keeps going on forever! and so if you are in a tent right down the bottom field its a long way back to the toilets and a long walk to leave the site.
However it was lovely to have a walk right down to the bottom via the 'panorama walk' (starts from behind the toilet block) - still on your site but right out in the country.
Belton itself seems huge there are loads of walks to do including a riverside walk. The Kings Head is only 4 mins walk from the site entrance (go straight across the road turn right and down a slope to the left when you get to the end of that road you will see the pub on the right) beer was dear though. For Tesco's go by the front of the pub and then turn left up Debden, Tesco's is at the end.
We found a better place to drink if you turn right out of the site and follow the road entering Burgh Castle (five mins bike ride, 20 mins walk) Kingfisher Park (caravan site) on your left welcomes all and their beer was much cheaper and they also done two meals for £10 6.30-9.00. Did not eat there so cannot recommend. There are two chinese in Belton but the locals don't use them they order from Gorleston.
Great looking play area (no children there at all while we were there) TV room and pool table and games machines. Nobody used these either.
Sue the site owner worked such long hours in reception in the morning, and then running about the rest of the day mowing, strimming, jet washing till dark. Facilities always clean, site tidy and pretty.

Last year was our first stay at Rose Farm, so this year we made a return visit. As last year, brilliant.Toilets and showers spotless, washing machines and driers if required and a freezer unit that you could use if you had a cool bag/box to freeze the ice packs.
The site has a play area for the kids which is situated outside the main office and a key controlled barrier to the main camping fields.
The owners, though always busy were always helpful and happy to answer any questions or problems you might have.
All in all a very pleasant holiday and hope to make another return visit in 2011

Loved this site. Pretty entrance, with small children's play area close to office. Also had a small arcade area.
Site was immaculate, from the regularly mown grass (as soon as tents/caravans were moved), to the lovely wash areas.
Didn't have much to do with the staff but my six year old said that 'the lady' always said hello!
The 'lady' is often seen out on her tractor or bike. Appears to be constantly working, and it shows.
Only downside is that there is only one shower in the lower block, although more are available further up the lane.
Walked down to the 'marina' for dinner. Was much further than we were aware, not great with a six year old. When got there, thought they had a cheek calling it a marina, more a boat yard. There is a pub / restaurant there, if we hadn't had quite a walk getting there, we would have turned around again. However, appearances can be deceptive and we had a lovely meal and staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Would recommend this site.

Return visit to this site as we were happy with it last year, we stayed 4 nights camping,and once again very happy, the site very clean and shower block was spotless no matter what time you went there,we had great views from our tent a wheat field to the left and sweetcorn field to our right.
The owner is very helpful and always happy,chatty.
The site has free internet access (but need to be up by the office to get a signal) good mobile phone cover.
There's a mini tesco just down the road with a Chinese shop take away which is not rated to use!
About 1 mile down the main road there's a place called cherry lane garden centre, WOW what a place they sell everything you can think of! and its cheap ! also they have a very good cafe the food was lovely, fresh and hot.
We also found a great pub,children welcome and their food was out of this world and not high priced. The pub had a wii for the kids, pool table, 3 tv`s showing music videos, or real t.V,
The pub is The Crown in haddiscoe, NR146AA (apx 8 miles from site).
If your looking for a great beach then goreston on sea is the place to head off too! 3miles from site,sandy beach with life guards,free parking, cafes and toilets close by the beach.

Just back from 5 fantastic nights at Rose Farm.
We were made extremely welcome from the minute we parked on the car park. We were shown to our pitch which was ample for our (very) large tent. The ground was hard in places, but a small adjustment and the pegs went in. We were in the front field near to the play frame. This is a smallish area but suited my 6yo & 2yo well.
The toilet block was was spotless and stocked up well, the showers are free and nice and hot.
As others have said there is a Tesco Express nearby with a larger store 10 mins further into Great Yarmouth.
Found a great pub / restaurant called Church Farm which I think was in Castle Burgh (beautiful carvery meal)
I would most definitely holiday here again.

Have just come back from 4 nights at Rose Farm. I was there with my wife,my 16 year old son,my sister in law and her husband. We chose this site mainly from reading all the favourable reviews and can say that we agree with most of what has already been said by others who have left reviews.
The site has one square field with a toilet block and one long field with another toilet block about half way along. We were on the square field at the front of the site which offered pitches large enough for our Montana six tent and the site owner allowed us to spread out further into the field so that we could put up our sun canopy and wind breaks which was very nice of her.
The lady who owns the site could be seen driving around on her tractor emptying the bins on a regular basis. The toilets blocks were always clean and tidy.
here is a Tesco Express near to the site but it took us a while to find it as it is situated at the top end of a nearby estate. For those wanting a larger store there's a Morrisons in nearby Gorleston. The local pub serves good beer and food but we found out that food is only served during peak season.
We found a reasonable Chinese Takeaway within half a mile of the site (turn right out of the gate and it is further along on the right opposite another camp site) The site is ideally situated for people wishing to explore the area with Great Yarmouth a short drive from the site about five to ten minutes depending on traffic.
The only criticisms we can make are we feel the site would benefit from having a few more showers in the toilet blocks and the noise from buses and motorbikes travelling along the nearby road was at times a nuisance although not constantly. Other than these two minor criticisms our stay was very enjoyable despite the odd rain shower
However the ground soon absorbed the water and dried out quite quickly when the sun came out. I would say that so far this is one of nicest sites we have stayed on in recent years and would like to return at some point in the future.

Me the wife, daughter, plus 2 grand kids and a friend have just had a fantastic week at rose farm, To be honest there is not much I can add to the other reviews that have been submitted by yourselves.
It is simply the best site we have visited this year and we have been to quite a few. All the facilities were spotless as was the whole site.
We will be going back again this year and it will be the only camp site we are going to twice in the same season.We can not wait to get back and would recommend this site to anybody who is visiting the yarmouth area.

Have just returned from a great holiday at Rose Farm. The site was brill, just as described on the website.
The toilets / showers were very clean at all times. We were camping so made full use of the freezer facilities for our ice blocks. Sue the owner was very friendly and helpful regarding local knowledge.
We visited the Marina which is within walking distance and had an excellent meal at the pub there - a great place to visit. We very much enjoyed our trips to Lowsetoft & Gorleston On Sea.
We will definitely go again.

We have just come home from 5 days at Rose Farm Belton, the site is very well kept the toilet and shower blocks are kept very clean. There is a information room with a large t.v. and comfortable suite for campers to use and a good selection of books for reading.
In the laundry room there is also a freezer for freezing ice blocks up and washing lines next to unit, also washing up sinks for campers use. This is the third time we have been to this site and always found it first class.
Near by is Gorlston beach with free parking which is a bonus and part of the beach is also dog friendly. We also visited Redwing horse santuary which is very near by and again able to take the dog on a lead, they just ask for donations, also went to Fritton wood and round the trail with the dog. As we are dog loving we found this area very dog friendly.
We hope to visit Rose Farm again as this is an excellent site and we were blessed with lovely weather.
