This council run site consists of a number of large, fairly well kept fields. Loads of space, can't imagine it ever getting completely full. Pefectly located in the heart of the Epping Forest. Downsides were the filthy showers and toilets.
All in all a pleasant stay, if you take you own food and have your own wash facilities!

This is a spacious campsite with different fields, and you feel like you are actually in the Forest. You can camp where you like, the fields are a bit sloping but not too much. It's always been peaceful but we've never been in school holidays. However there are often school groups staying there but they are a long way from the fields we've camped in so we haven't really noticed they were there. The toilet blocks seemed fine but are quite a walk from some of the fields. There is a shop and a cafe which serves breakfasts etc but I don't think there was a pub that near. If you're wanting to explore London too - it's quite a way to the tube station and then it's a long journey on the tube. But you won't get cheaper accommodation anywhere else within the M25! If you live in Newham you get a discount!
