A really lovely and well equipped campsite on the common in stroud at Minchinhampton. Lucy the proprietor was great, lots of good info, she supplied wood and kindling for the firebowl too.

There was Gifford's circus on at the time we where there on the common, which is unmissable. Lots of cycling and walking at the disused railway line and canal tow path. Lots of youngsters for our young'un to play with too. Highly recommended

This camp is in The Cotswolds in a lovely rural location. The facilities are great. It has a lovely clean shower block providing nice warm showers and really clean toilets also. Their is a clean and pleasant washing up area and a fridge/freezer for the campsite providing space for a few items that need to be kept cold.

There is an on site play park for small children and donkeys in the field to the side. It was a very nice campsite and I can not fault it at all. Really nice and we especially appreciated the lovely clean facilities and friendly welcome. Probably the best site facilities we have come across. We recommend this site.

This is our second time to this lovely site and it's one of our favourites. There was an initial problem with our booking but Lucy went above and beyond to remedy the situation for which we're very grateful.

The site is in a good location for towing a caravan, and the site is all grass but with nice secluded bays. Toilets and showers are fine, though some campers are not always respectful in leaving the areas clean! Probably space for around 25 units overall but you don't feel cramped.

We look forward to returning!

Lovely owner, very helpful. Although there were 2 fairly large groups staying, it was not noisy as we were at the top end. Short walk to the local village shops, although not a great selection. Pub and chip shop closed down which was a bit of a let down and butcher quite pricey. Campsite website said they had their own shop but there wasn't one. Facilities good, but if it's full, I would imagine its a bit of a wait for the loos.

Would go again, but would be more prepared with food stuff.

A lovely campsite and very friendly owners. Although it is on a slope it is possible to pitch on the flat. The toilet/shower block was always clean and plenty of hot water. There were 2 areas for washing up. One in a kitchen with a washing machine and fridge/freezer and a couple of outdoor sinks. Again everything was clean.

The village is a 5 minute walk from the site with a Spar (type of mini supermarket), Boots, fish and chip shop, pubs and a mobile pizza van arrived one night when we were there.

The roads through the village are very narrow so I would advise following the instructions for how to get to the campsite.

A great base to explore the area.

Just returned from a lovely bank holiday break at Tobacconist Farm. This site is a lovely rural family run site that has the right combination of camping comforts to keep me happy along with us able to have a fire pit and enjoy big roomy pitches you get with more 'back to basics sites'

We arrived in the evening and we were welcomed warmly by Lucy the owner who showed us to our pitch and helped us hook up our EHU.

The facilities are great - lovely warm and very clean showers and loos - the showers are set up like little bathrooms which is great as you don't have to keep moving to shower, then do your teeth etc. The fridge freezer is big and there is also a washer kettle and leccy points if you need them in the kitchen. Great washup areas, 2 outside and one in the kitchen itself. Firepits are available to use and every eveing someone comes down to sell you logs - 5 a bag which lasted us 2 nights.

The site has a policy of no cars on the grass camping field - which is no bother as the car park area is the field before the camping field on site. This means a lovely spacious field for us all to enjoy and my son and other campers children had great fun playing out all day.

You can walk easily into the picturesque village of Minchinhampton which has a well stocked local shop, which is open 6. 30am -7pm, a chemist, post office and a couple of daytime tea rooms. Only downside was the lack of a pub in the village - its still being re-furbished :-(

We also ate one evening and a Sunday Lunch at the Weighbridge Inn - we can't recommend it highly enough. You could walk down the hill to the Weighbridge and then have a good workout walking back afterwards!

The town of Nailsworth is about 1. 5 miles away and has a Morrisons and other shops and restaurants. We also visited Stroud which is a fantastic town - we were there for the Fringe Festival.

So all in all - a lovely rural site which I will be returning to and recommending to my friends.

Small friendly campsite on working farm with large pitches, fires in firebowls and excellent, clean toilet/shower block with plenty of hot water and disabled facilities.

Includes indoor dishwash area with kettle, phone charging sockets, fridge/freezer and washing machine plus outdoor rotary clothes dryer. Small play area for little ones.

Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a short backstreet walk into town centre with shop, cafes, post office, chemists, chip shop, bus service etc.

Short stroll onto Minchinhampton Common for walking/golf/views.

While daytime food has several options, when we went, the pub in Minchinhampton was shut (for refurbishment???) and there wasn't an obvious option in the evening. There is a fine dining pub, The Ragged Cot Inn, that's walkable and there's the Black Horse in Amberley, an excellent pub with good food and beer and great views, is about a 30 minute walk through Minchinhampton and across the common. Lots of decent places to eat in the surrounding area if you're willing to take a short drive.

Munchinhamptons, a cafe opposite the chip shop, is excellent value and does great food. It's about a 10-minute stroll from the campsite. Really great cooked breakfast (6. 95) plus a lunch menu that includes many vegetarian dishes and gluten free options mostly under a tenner.

Stayed for 4 nights. Lucy, the site owner has got this just right, facilities are excellent, pitches are large, views are stunning. Short walk to shops in village, and longer walk out onto the common.

We recently spent three very comfortable nights at this lovely site. Despite the wet weather the grass was kept cut. The shower/lavatory block is immaculate with disabled/family facilities, kitchen with washing machine and washing-up sinks. There are also a good picnic field, small play area and an excellent dog-walk on-site. Lucy, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful and apologised for the slight slope of the camping field. Coming from the North Pennines it was pancake flat to us. Our dogs were made welcome. We did find it difficult to find anywhere to eat in the evening but the village shop is open until 7. 30 pm. The site is on the edge of the village so it's only a 5 minute walk down in. We will certainly go back.

We stayed here to take advantage of the water sports at the nearby Cotswold water park complex which has everything you'll need to do on the water but pre book the more popular ones like water sking, this site is ok but not 10\10 we stayed at the top right corner which is out of the way and quiet there is a bit of road noise but not intrusive the shower block is ok its serviced and ok clean but hardly spotless, I've seen better, no paper towels, soap, cob webs, flies, dirty grout, etc but no smells so ok its a campsite at the end of the day. Good points fridge freezer, washer but that's a free for all, fire pits free and 5 for logs and a little free kindle but id buy as we did a bag of kindle and lighter fluid and fire lighters which set of the fire pit a treat.

The mens toilets are urinals and separate but showers and toilets are unisex some have a shower, toilet, sink in one cubicle, which is good.

The pitches are good sizes and down one side there is little banks overgrown to encourage nature and separate the pitches.

It was a quarter full and ok but id not like to stay if it was full,

One major negative is if you stay at the top of the site as we did and not knowing to us at the time was there are a few non campers staying in various non standard vans, campers, uv's etc who took advantage of a constant commercial bonfire burning visited by builders and these non camping residence to dump all sorts on it to burn 24\7 and it smelt out our tent this was burning commercial rubbish we could tell by the smell not farm refuse????? the halfway\bottom pitches wouldn't have smelt this.

Nice views, big pitches, ok toilets, quietish site you go judge for yourself but this isn't my 10\10 campsite studfold farm North Yorkshire there's a 10\10
