Lovely site in a great location, 100m from the Tissington cycling and walking trail.
Lovely views across the valley, and a short, under a mile walk to the Coach and Horses PH, with the Bentley Brook PH just a little further on.
Basic provision of fresh water, toilet and refuse disposal on a sloping site so you'll need your levelling ramps but pitches are hard standing with electric if required.
Great, great site, I will be back.

Beautiful views, nice quite, clean small site, friendly helpful staff. Easy access.
Close to shops, and Tissington trail right next to the site.
The slope was a little more than expected but still ok.
Very windy due to location.
Grass was a little long but on the plus side we didn’t keep walking it into the caravan.

This was our first stay in a certified site, we chose a small site as we wanted to be in a field with space around us, and not feel on top of other people. Unfortunately we were one of 9 vans one night, and about the same the other, and this didn’t include the caretakers caravan. We don’t know if this is normal and if most sites up the numbers like this, but it wasn’t what we expected, and the field isn’t that big either, so we were in two rows.
Also, there wasn’t any recycling which was a surprise.
The position is super however and the gentleman caretaker very friendly. The pitches are on a slope so you will need blocks, these are provided in the form of bricks.

We’ve just enjoyed six great days at this site. No toilet block or play area for children (something we certainly appreciated) but everything else including quite lovely views from every pitch (blocks required. )
The owner Janet was very welcoming and gave us a few hints and tips. Ashbourne is within easy reach by car or for us, just three miles away by bicycle where you can find pubs, shops, a co-op and a Sainsburys.
The site is a stone’s throw from the Tissington Trail which was fairly congested in places, to be expected at this time of year, but very pleasant. We hadn’t realised that the trail itself had a constant gradual gradient so expect a bit of an effort one way and a lot of freewheeling the other.
Excellent value at £12 per night.

Hard standing pitches, though they were narrow. Sloping site. Seemed to be well drained. Water and electric only.
Easy access from the main road. Tissington trail just behind site for cycling or walking. Had a Drink in the Coach and Horses Pub, which was very nice, also served food but did not eat there. It’s down to the main road turn right, go about a mile it’s on the left.
Good 4g signal, TV signal good, pointing aerial 258 degrees south west, or point just to the right of farmhouse.
Great views, quiet.
Only saw Farmer when he came to cut the grass. Some recycling. Would you use a again if in the area.
Note, it is a Camping and Caravan Club CS site, but you can join there.

Nice easy access from A515 clean water and waste facilities. Superb views. Sloping pitches no problem to us as we brought extra chocks. Next to Tissington trail and very friendly owners. Looking forward to booking again next year.

This is a lovely CL, with beautiful views over the Asbourne valley. The sign for the site is not easy to see, follow the large sign off the main road for Asbourne Heights as they share the same approach. Approx 200 meters from the Tissington trail, about 1/2 mile from Tissington on the trail. The owners left us to our own devices, however the farm house was close by if we had needed any help, there were about 8 hard standings which had recently been extended. The site is on a slight slop, and on a working farm with live stock only meters away in there own fields. Asbourne is a short drive away or you could take the trail, full array of supermarkets as well as the usual small town shopping. Great place to base your stay, £11 a night in may.

Great location with views down towards Ashbourne. Ideal for the Tissington Trail as you can join it right at the farm and it is only a 3 mile cycle/walk into Ashbourne or less than 1 mile to Tissington.
Be careful turning into the site if you have a large van or are towing as it is tight and steep
Owners friendly and helpful. Electric, fresh water, waste and toilet disposal and recycling available.
Only negative comment would be that the hard standing pitches slope very badly and are a little narrow. If you don't get on them at your first attempt you risk getting stuck in the mud! We were ok but one van did have to get towed out by the farmer on the Sunday and looking at other reviews this seems to be a regular occurrence!
Would still visit it again though

First time out for us in our unit, lovely and quiet site, with great countryside views and the Tissington trail access at the entrance of the site which we liked for walking our dog and visiting Tissington. Only down side was narrow hardstanding pitches and very much sloping site, though bricks are supplied to help with this. It does have a few pot holes on driveway. The camp site next door had the nearest shop. Easy to find the site if you follow signs for Ashbourne heights site.
