 What an absolute little gem of a campsite. ??
Bill genuinely has a heart of gold and you can tell how much love has gone into the place. The animals were amazing — alpacas, Shetlands and even a tawny owl. Waking up surrounded by them, watching the sunsets and just having that peace was pure joy.
It is an adults-only site, which we loved, and there is a local pub within walking distance. The showers and facilities were really clean too.
£25 a night for the two of us with our TentBox, which we thought was great value. Just remember £2 coins for the shower — £2 gives you 6 minutes, which was actually plenty of time.
There is only cold water at the washing-up tap, so definitely take a kettle if you want hot water for washing up.
A really lovely, quirky, peaceful place. We absolutely loved it and Bill really makes it what it is. We will definitely be back. ??

This is a lovely, quiet well kept site.
The toilet and shower/toilet cubicles are very clean and fully tiled. With hand soap, but no paper towels for hand drying. You need 20p for the shower - 2 mins. You can put in multiple, or £1 coin for 10 mins. Bill explained this on arrival and exchanged some coins for us.
There is a washing up sink, but no hot water, so we boiled a kettle to add to the sink.
The ground is undulating so tricky to find a flat spot for a tent.
There were 6 alpacas, very friendly. Lovely views and plenty of birdlife and the odd Chinook!
Bill called round once or twice a day to say hello and check all was well. He has eggs for sale a minute up the road, which you might not be aware of, unless you walk past on the way to the pub - 10 minute walk into the village, and a Co op about 2 miles away.
A lovely stay.

What a lovely little gem of a place so immaculate, Bill the owner is always round about titivating and taking care of the animals (alpaca, ponies, ) and takes time out to chat to all visitors. So laid back about paying up, as no rush whenever and tremendous value for money.
Caravan and motor homes in two separate areas M/H area is flatter, have to work hard at getting caravans in position to appear level.
Not on the website is the showers are coin operating so need to make sure you have change.
Great value for money, looking forward to going again.

Lovely quiet and relaxing site overlooking fields.
Facilities adequate and clean but nothing to dry hands in the toilets and only cold water for washing pots.

Well maintained, relaxed site in a lovely location.
Owners very friendly and helpful.
Basic facilities but perfect for what we needed.
Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Peaceful campsite watching the barn owl activity of an evening was an extra bonus. Bill came round every morning to see everyone one which I thought was a lovely touch.
We didn’t realise the showers were coin operated so had to go to the local pub for a drink to get some change for the shower! The facility’s are very basic, one ladies toilet and two unisex showers which had toilets in them.
Neither of the shower room/toilets or washing up basin had hot water which was frustrating.
The field is on a slope so difficult to pitch but there are lots of ramps provided to help level you out if in a motor home/camper.
Basic facilities are reflected in the price but we would still go back as its location makes up for it.

A lovely site in gorgeous location with outstanding views. Very welcoming.
Facilities rather basic but nothing less than what we expected based on their information.
Ground not exactly level so need to choose pitch carefully based on your footprint.
But saying that, we did like the non-uniformity & no strict boundaries as usual with pitch numbers.
Great price with electric point included.
Would definitely return given time

Lovely site we'll looked after. Didn't use site facilities as we had a touring caravan and used them.
Owners very helpful especially as our van broke down on day we were leaving.
Animals were lovely and well looked after, even had daily visits from Doris the chicken.
Would definitely go back. Lovely weather and very hot.

Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend on this little gem of a site. Not a fan of commercialised sites so Ashspring was right up my street.
Site owner was a really nice and helpful person, site spotlessly clean and neat, very well looked after.
Showers and toilets basic but very clean, £1 for a 10min shower, ain't going to complain about that.
Had Sunday lunch in 'The lamb' - 10 minute walk away, lovely pub.
Lovely rural walk into Bourton.
Would definitely return.
Only moan was the pitches weren't the flattest, make sure you take levellers with you.

We absolutely loved this site! So peaceful with all the essential amenities, the owner was incredibly friendly and very helpful. Great value for money.
The location is rural with views across the fields and plenty of wildlife; owl, red kite, pheasants and deer.
Close proximity to The Lamb Inn - amazing food even if the prices are a bit steep! We also walked to and from Bourton-on-the-Water which was lovely; on nice quiet roads.
